Disappointing at best. If you’re going to communicate with them emails are best so you can keep the paper trail. Imagine having THREE meetings with upper management for nothing to change. No accountability in this location. My only positive Nurse Dave is a rock star and should be given a promotion tho’ .

Beyond incredible, the staff are some of the most amazingly friendly people I’ve ever met. The activities that the residents get to participate in are game-changing and absolute perfection (I’ve even found myself wanting to join in.) You can’t help but leave with a smile when you come to visit.
This place looks ok from outside and even first floor entrance. My mother entered this facility due to Alzheimer’s (after me trying to care for her for months) she started to get aggressive, refusal of meds, calling me names, making up horrible stories about people that she loved, sundowners, constant UTI no matter the attempt of keeping it at bay. She was sent her supposedly for temporary time (but that is a different story). The Alzheimer’s wing is SO OUTDATED, smelled of urine, beds were from 1980, shared bathroom with 4 other Alzheimer’s/dementia patients. Couldn’t have any pictures or personal things to make it feel like p her space due to prior thefts. No urgency to care for patients. In my mom’s finally days she was placed in a chair against bed (she was hanging over it, mouth so dry her lips were stuck to her teeth. Sprawled out in a diaper with no privacy. All the other residents constantly in and out passing by. It was horrible. I showed up been there for an hour, address the situation complained to the head nurse and she said someone passes by every 30 minutes, and adjust every two hours! That is a lie. Knowing she was suppose to be on hospice, NO ONE came by other than residents for an hour and half. DO NOT ABSOLUTELY put your loved one here on this wing at least!!! Mom was transferred to Charlottesville to a hospice center were she passed peacefully and comfortably and with the dignity she deserved a few days later.! Do your homework visit if you can explore your options. THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE you want for your loved one.
Filthy, mold, smells horrible, very dirty... lack of compassionate care, abrupt employees talking to residents roughly. Medicine mismanagement. Go see this place first before you ever send a loved one there. I give it one star because Google will not let me give zero.
The team we have built is amazing. We have made great strides in improving this old building. The care we provide is GREAT and my teammates are THE BEST!!
