My mom has recently been there at day care twice a week. For her it's about social contacts, employment and experiencing something. I have never seen her talk about her experiences so brightly and happily as she does now when she tells me what great things were done there and how sweet and nice everyone is.

I have never seen her talk about her experiences so brightly and happily as she does now when she tells me what great things were done there and how sweet and nice everyone is.
My mother was placed in the above-mentioned home for short-term care. The first impression when entering the house was quite positive: the rooms look attractive, the rooms are spacious and friendly, and the bathrooms also make a well-kept impression. Unfortunately, this external impression remained - the actual support leaves a lot to be desired. The staff is significantly understaffed, which means that care for residents suffers. So my mother lay in bed for 16 days - the bed linen was only changed after I explicitly complained. A highly recommended exercise therapy, which had been prescribed by a doctor, took place 30 minutes later, on day 18, after my complaint. A communal breakfast in the basement was organized, but bedridden residents – including my mother – were simply forgotten. Even basic things such as personal hygiene, hygiene and changing bandages were only done after repeated follow-up on my part. Particularly serious: An employee took the key to the medicine cabinet home with him, which meant that several residents could not be provided with the necessary painkillers. My mother's health insurance card disappeared without a trace in the home. The only reaction from the staff: "It happens before." During my visits, I was often completely alone in the entire hallway where my mother was staying - no nursing staff in sight. For around 4,000 euros a month you get a bed and three meals - but beyond that there is hardly any adequate care. In my opinion, this home is not recommended.
I drive a rickshaw with the residents for St. Vinzenz on a volunteer basis. So report more from the perspective of an “associated partner”. ;-) My last visit was to a neighborhood Advent market and the employees organized and carried it out wonderfully, attentively and mindfully. The interaction with the residents is very warm and caring. Now you could ask how I can judge that, but I answer: that's what my dear "passengers" tell me. Everyone. I think I speak for a very beautiful, modern and humane facility. The entire social service, under the leadership of Ms. Güthoff, appears to me to have made maximum effort and commitment. This is what assisted living in old age can feel like.
UNFORTUNATELY, my grandmother (96) has been staying there for almost a year. At 6,000 euros a month, certainly the BEST for grandma, according to the loving and family thought. Think!!! We hit the jackpot with this choice of retirement home. We, the relatives, have more work and unfortunately since then we have had to worry more about grandma. She lives in a double room with a beautiful view - the only thing that is beautiful. The floor is always dirty/sticky. WE cleaned her toilet several times and took care of our grandmother/mother's personal hygiene. About 2 weeks ago, grandma fell in the bathroom because she was ignored despite ringing the bell to go to the toilet, so she tried to do it on her own out of necessity. Of course, she suffered serious injuries because she is dependent on a wheelchair and is unfortunately not very strong. Last Sunday I was able to experience this experience live. At 12:50 p.m. I pressed the NURSE button, a young man who was distributing medication assured me that he would tell a colleague that someone would be coming IMMEDIATELY. NO ONE came until 1:45 p.m.!!! Since I was planning a trip with Grandma, as you already know, Grandma and I helped ourselves. After her fall, which didn't have to happen, a medical bill naturally followed!!! The doctor responsible for this house is NEVER available!!! Even the nursing staff there shrug their shoulders and say they don't know exactly when the doctor will be on site in the near future. My grandma has lost so much weight in this short year that for me as a grandchild it is not only sad to see, it also hurts my soul.
Very friendly welcome, throughout the house: friendly, nice and committed staff. The nursing team that looks after our mother is great. The double room is large and has a beautiful view of the Green Park and the Oker, you can bring your own furniture, lots of pictures and plants.
