My sister has been a resident at St. James Manor for nine months. It is during this period I witnessed the care my sister and the other residents receive from the administration, nursing staff, custodians, and the staff who prepare and serve food to the residents, and the receptionists. The duties and responsibilities are performed with excellence. There is compassion, patience and love shown for the residents. The facility is clean. The receptionists always greet those who enter with a welcoming hello and with a cheerful smile. My sister is in good hands at St James Manor.

Terrible facility and terrible staff. My mom was in this facility for several months and due to lack of care, was in and out of the hospital for a multitude of issues that were brought up to the staff at St. James, but overlooked. It wasn't until I demanded her to be sent to the hospital that they took action. Consistently was lied to about her condition and was told several times that they ran multiple tests only to find out that no tests have been done and my mom was declining. No concern for her health and wellbeing. Staff was rough with her when changing her and gave attitude when she would ask if they can grab something for her that she accidentally dropped or couldn't reach. I have never been so disgusted with a facility. I'm not sure how people with this career choice can come to work everyday and treat someone so poorly. Do not send your friends or family here. I urge you to look elsewhere.
I always enjoy my visit with my mom when I come to St. James Manor &Villas. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they take good care of my mom.
When we came to the decision to place my 97 year-old grandmother in a nursing care facility, it was literally after everything in the world had been exhausted. We needed a place where someone struggling with dementia could get help and thrive. Initially, I wasn't 100%pleased with the facility, because it needed updating. But, we kept her there because the staff was nice and attentive. However, any place you send a loved one, you have to be proactive. Since then, they have made significant renovations and have upgraded their system, so I am pleased with her care there.
Terrible place. A lot of the staff is rude and sometimes when you call, you’re transferred about 3 different times just to wait another 15 minutes to speak to someone. Inattentive and had my mom waiting 30 minutes because she needed help using her bed pan. I left around 9 one night and the alarm went off but no one came for over 5 minutes to turn it off. Imagine if a patient had walked out the door? Super disappointing. Send your family somewhere else.
