A one star rating is being given only because I can’t give a zero. My mom was in their rehab facility for roughly 5 months and in those 5 months not a day went by where we didn’t have an issue. Literally the ONLY reason she stayed there was because of the Physical Therapist (and of course our lovely insurance system) If it wasn’t for those ladies (and me going there every day!) there is no way I would have felt any bit of safety leaving her there. I brought up my concerns so many times to so many different people, even Brandon Webb while he was “helping” watch over the facility but it did no good. I never even heard back from Brandon after I demanded to talk to the person in charge while he was there. Here are just some of the issues my mom dealt with so you’ll know what you’re getting into if you put a love one in this facility. (I have all the documentation and dates these happened so St. Clare can’t deny them). 1. She calls me crying because she hasn’t been changed since therapy (7 hours prior to calling me). She’s been pushing her call button no one is coming. I call 8 times letting the phones ring for over 30 minutes and leave 2 voicemails. From the time she initially calls me until someone actually changes her it was over 2 hours. 2. She would hit the call button for help and an aide would come in shut her light off, not help or even come back 3. She was not given meals on multiple occasions. I had to bring her dinner more than once because she had not eaten. But was told she wasn’t the only one that it had happened to so it wasn’t that big of a deal. 4. Her room would go days without being cleaned. 5. An aide refused to help her to restroom because she said she was the only one working the unit at that time. 6. She asked an aide for water and was told to wait and she’d bring it with dinner (this over an hour before dinner) These are just some examples of the things she dealt with. There were other residents that would scream for help for a good 20 minutes without anyone coming to their aid. Every day I’d go visit her I’d have residents asking me to help take them to the bathroom, help change them, asking me to just find an aide for them, etc….. It was definitely sad. Especially for the ones whose families never came to see them. I beg you if you have a family member there please go check on them!!!

My mom has been a resident in Memory Care at St. Clare Commons for a year now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the level of care she receives. The new directors who have joined in the past year are incredibly friendly and have truly made a positive impact. I have full confidence in the care my mother receives, and it's reassuring to know that her needs are being met with such kindness. The food is delicious, and I appreciate that I can join my mom for meals. The New Director of assisted living and memory care is highly experienced and has done an excellent job training the staff to provide compassionate care for my mother. I recently recommended St. Clare Commons to my brother, who will be undergoing surgery and therapy afterward. His excitement after the tour was evident, and I'm grateful to have found such a welcoming community for our family. Thank you to the entire staff for their dedication and love during these challenging times. Thank you to everyone at St. Clare Commons!
My mother came to this facility on 4-23-24 for rehab and is now long-term assisted living. It was and still is a work in progress with the nursing staff, but overall it's improving and is a real nice facility. Their food and dining area is very good and the facility is very well kept.
I had a large private room and my own bathroom with lots of closet space! The food is delicious, with many options available to ensure you get what you will like. The physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams were excellent. What happened to me to come to in-patient therapy? I took a fall backward down 8 stairs!!! The therapy teams got me walking unaided, strengthened my body, and worked with me on basic living skills. Additionally, speech therapy helped me speak more clearly and enunciate better! They helped a great deal with my memory, which I am so thankful for! My arrival process was really smooth and easy thanx to the young lady that does that job Nicole!! She made me feel very welcome and comfortable, and then she would swing by once or twice a week during my first month here: to answer any questions, to make sure everything was good or just to say HI. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend the facility to anyone who needs the help!!!!
Nicole has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She has gone above and beyond to help in any way possible, and was able to get my family member accepted at St Clare, when I was struggling through the process to find them a place to live. She always has a smiling face and is friendly to the patients, their families, and anyone she comes across. There aren’t many people like her that are so willing to help with whatever is needed. I truly appreciate her and I hope that if you’re considering St Clare, that you will enjoy meeting her as well! She made this move easy!
