My husband returned home today following a week long stay at St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He went there to development strength following treatment for a debilitating infection in a local hospital. I have to praise St. Catherine’s staff for doing what they said they would do. From day one, he had physical and occupational therapy for at least an hour each day. The nurses and aides treated him with dignity and respect, and the food was decent. Though, initially, I was very reluctant to send my husband to any rehab center, I am thankful we found St.. Catherine of Siena.

This place is horrible! It’s dirty and smells disgusting. My mom was still in her clothes from the day before at 11:30 am. They never changed her bedding either! The rehab people were awesome and the only two nurses that even gave a shit about my mothers well being were Tyeisha and Anthony. (The others were nasty!) Thank goodness for them otherwise my mom’s experience would’ve been way worse! Definitely would not recommend this place.
DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!!! BEWARE!!! They treat there patients HORRIBLY. The CNA’s are mean to my grandmother because she had used the bathroom and needed to be cleaned. The nurses here should be ashamed. It’s actually scary that these people have there nursing degrees. I can’t wait until this facility gets shut down along with the horrible hospital.
Horrible experience, staff was cold, rude and uncaring. My Dad was transferred there from hospital and within 4 hours fell and hit his head. Thanks to his roommate we were made aware, we call ambulance due to large lump on his head. This facility is a disgrace
My mother was a patient there and fell because there were not enough staff to help her to the bathroom when she called. She attempted to get up by herself because she did not want to soil herself. She is fully continent, so why should she be forced to wet the bed and then be left to sit in it? She fractured her vertebra from the fall. They didn’t even have the decency to provide adequate pain management. It took 4 days for the X-Ray to be read. She got Tylenol for pain management for a burst T12 fracture. The doctors write notes on the patients without examining them. I saw Dr. Ryder at the desk not examining one patient, but documenting away. Unethical and illegal. Medicare fraud. There is typically 1 nurse to more than 20 patients and 2 nursing attendants to 40 patients. I think the staff may try to be compassionate, but I found the care less than safe, less than ethical and morally bankrupt. I only wish the administrators who create the staffing and care plans could one day experience the kind of care they think is adequate. My dog received better and more compassionate care from our vet. He died in peace. My mother will die because of this injury and in pain. Disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe this experience.
