Brianna was absolutely the best! Went to see my mom and she was above and beyond helpful! She definitely deserves to be acknowledged for her kindness and being an all around lovely girl! Thanks so much Brianna.

My Father was there for over a month, thinking this was a wonderful facility. He was in skilled care, my family and I were very disappointed. A few of the RN's Bill and Cindy were excellent. Overall the aids were good great personalities except one that rolled her eyes when asked a question and would be very ignorant to my dad. The last day we overheard her call the physical therapy unit "idiots" . She's very unprofessional and lazy. We noticed that everyone would sit at the nurses desk and eat , talk and be on their phones. Unless someone rang for a nurse they would NOT do rounds and check on these patients. My question is what if someone was having a heart attack and they couldn't ring for a nurse? This was pretty sad. My dad was throwing up one evening, they gave him a small bucket and never checked on him, my sister stayed all night. They are the ones that get paid for this. There was a LPN supposedly that was from an agency she was very rude and my dad was cold she just threw the blanket on him and walked out. I guess she is not there no more. The front desk older ladies I dont think they like their job. They are the first thing when you walk in they look at you, look away and don't say a word unless you say something first. I believe that is their job is to welcome people or say have a good evening. The guy that works the desk is very nice and always greets people when coming and leaving. Physical therapy are very nice. We did go to Jill she listened to our concerns but nothing got done. We did talk to the social worker and it seemed like there was no communication and they just couldn't take constructive criticism. This was our father/husband (mom) and we want the best. I felt sorry for the other patients that dont have a family to speak up for them. If we need skilled care again, it will not be there.
Congrats to the nurses for handling a beary crazy situation! Nurses will always find a way! 🤣❤️🤣
The furniture is all old. The walls are dirty looking and need patched and repainted. My mom was brought from Indiana Hospital there before dinner time at the hospital and she got there at admitted to the short term side for rehab because she fell and broke her left hip and had surgery. By time the in processing was done she missed dinner there and they only gave her a banana and a very small portion of Cheerios to eat(like 3 3-4 bites). There were no chairs for me to sit on in her room while visiting her. I left there at 8pm and they still had not brought her a paper to fill out for what she wanted for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the next day like they said. They don't do like they say. I asked numerous times about it so I could help her but never happened. The aid came in and got her ready for bed as I was leaving her room and still no paper for her meals the next day. On the other hand the receiving nurse(RN) was very friendly and eager to answer my questions. The nurse checked her chart from the hospital and checked the bandage over her insition from the surgery and on her leg and took off her leg and took care of the leg area but the doctor orders from the hospital put it in her chart not to remove bandage over insition for a day or so yet but she checked to make sure there was no infection. Took about a half hour showing my mom how to use the remote for the TV. Showed her how to work the bed and call bells.they put nightstand closer to her bed for her with the phone on it so she could reach it really easy.the nurse kept coming in checking on her to see if she was comfortable.
St Andrew's personal care (The Village) is an excellent facility for your loved ones. The care is exceptional, it's clean and the food good, but won't lie, it's not cheap---but as they say (and we know from their previous personal care)---"you get what you pay for". :)
