I was a patient here and I am very disappointed in what I have seen and experienced first hand. I just checked myself out against medical advice. They are understaffed, rooms are ill equipped, staff openly talks about patients in a negative manner, and call bells are ignored because staff is not happy with certain patients. I had an asthma attack and it took staff much too long to retrieve my inhaler. I was given 2 different insulins at the same time and suffered a severe low. The staff is friendly enough on the surface but as mentioned they talk about the residents behind their backs. Meals arrive cold often and are often inedible. There are few activities for the residents to participate in despite being told that there are activities to participate in. There were cockroaches in the elevator. No heat was in the room despite it being cold out. I wanted to give a more positive review but with what I have witnessed just in my short stay alone I can't give a better review. I left as soon as possible for my own safety. There's plenty more I could write about. Please research the facilities that you go to thoroughly.

Today was Thanksgiving, and my 90 yr old friend wanted to have dinner with her son who was rehabbing at Springbrook. We called ahead and got approval for 3 family members to join - the kitchen staff was welcoming, and made 3 extra beautiful thanksgiving themed heaping plates filled with yummy homemade sides and moist carved turkey,, along with fresh apple pie and whipped cream. We even got a nice table all together. Thanks for all the TLC Michelle in the kitchen and staff at Genesis Springbrook. Happy Thanksgiving, we are grateful for you all. ♥️
My mother was in here last year for some time, and from day 1, it wasn't good. When I first arrived to visit her, there was a staff member that was walking by and I asked where this room number was, and she responded that she didn't know and walked off. I stood waiting at the nurses station with a delivery guy for 30 min until someone finally got to us. When I got to my mothers room, the staff member that said she didn't know saw me in the room and turned around at the door and walked away. She knew I was annoyed. Staff consistantly lied and refused to let her out even after the Dr said she was good to go. The food there was terrible and my mother had lost a lot of weight because they kept giving her poorly prepared food, things she can't eat, or over cooked. I get they are under staffed at the time, but a bunch of the staff there seemed they were only there for the paycheck, and not interested in the people there. There was one nurse there that kept parking her car on the stripped area that was next to the Handycap parking, making it hard for people to get in there vehicles. On a few occasions, I and others had to backup out of the Handycap spot to be able to get in because she did not want to park in a parking spot, but instead in a striped area next to the Handycap spot. I know it was a staff member because I seen her pull in once and park in that location. The one shining thing that my mother did like was her PT. She was extremely nice and helpful and allowed her to get stronger and get out of there. Overall, it was a terrible experience and what went on there was unacceptable. I highly recommend nobody going there if you can get in some where else.
Had a really good experience. Went to have Thanksgiving with my Aunt and her son Mike who is a patient there. The food was really good. Better than any food i have had in any establishment like that.
At first I found no one at the entry to direct me so I went upstairs to my friend’s unit. The RN there checked. To see if she had already gone to the patio where we were to meet for lunch. He took me there himself. Then while we ate a lovely woman from the kitchen I believe, brought her a very special birthday cupcake. My friend was full from lunch & a cake her sister had brought so the worker told her she would put it on her unit to save for later. Very nice!
