My mom was in and out of here in several occasions. And it was never a good experience even with new management. My mom fell in their care was vleedingcon the brain.. her food was left in the room knowing she couldn't feed her self and she was always starving. The second time they found her in the floor they never sent her ro the er and called me 3 hours later. After finally getting her to er at midnight she was bleeding again on brain.. while sitting next to her in hospital e and contacted rhe nurse when she stopped breathing the nurse said she had a pulse. She was gone! They were throwing her hands aroynd putting oxegyn tag on finger..! The incompetence in this place is awful. Stay clear of this place. Ur loved ones will be ignored, mistreated and starve!

After looking at several places my sister and I chose SH. Turned out to be a mistake. When the Director (Dan) left things went from bad to worse. The new temporary Director (Bianca) is implementing a lot of changes. Many of them are good, but it resulted in them forgetting to put our mom to bed or get her out of bed 3 times! Many staff left including the Director of Nursing. Now the memory floor often smells of urine near the main door. 🤢 We kept mom there, but after 1 year we decided not to keep her there. Really wanted it to be her last residence, but unfortunately it's not. Hopefully her new place will be better.
Sad thing is this isn't even one of the worst nursing homes you can go to.I know it's hard choosing for a family member but year after year Atrium/Spring Hills/Atlas? has gotten worse. With crazy management and staff turnover there are so many issues to name. With a very checked out staff of nurses, kitchen and house cleaning employees; it saddens me everytime I visit my grandmother. We can only complain about the same things so much (lackluster care, horrible meals and a lack of any type of engagement) before you wonder what else can I do? They really need to straighten up. Update: sadly granny passed away in 2022. Atrium was horrible. Constant staff turnover and a sad lack of care all around. They didn't jump on something sooner and because of that it didn't help grandma's chances. Do your homework!! Find somewhere you trust and go with your gut. At the end of the day these poor people are individuals. Those last few years can be cruel. Help them enjoy them.
My father in law has been living in the nursing home since 2018 I think. The nurses on his floor are overworked and most likely underpaid but they still can muster up a smile most days. Before covid, it was always clean and nurses and CNA's were happy. Now I assume they can't reach proper ratios because most days, the smell of urine is overwhelming and I have seen residents in despair. I don't visit as often as I used to but it is clear that with new ownership and the new world after , Spring Hills is struggling to be what Atrium was.covid
This place is awful. Animals get treated better. My mother has been there for less than 2 weeks and ended up with a stage 4 pressure wound from neglect. When we ask for help we mostly get ignored. There is only 1 CNA that is helpful and she is only there 2 days a week. Getting my mother out of there this week. It is so sad to see the lack of empathy, caring and respect this facility and its emoyees have for the elderly. On top of it all the place is filthy. Everyone I walk in my moms room the floor is so dirty it's actually sticky. Her bedside table looks like it's never been wiped down. It only gets cleaned when we her family cleans it.
