Currently, my Uncle is a patient at assisted-living. He has gone between the rehab and the assisted-living side of the facility. I would like to take this opportunity to compliment Josh, Director of Assisted Living. He is professional, considerate and focused when communicating with the patient’s Family members. Josh has always responded to text messages in a timely manner. My Uncle recognizes him and says “hello Josh”. That’s a good feeling when you wonder if there are any staff that have a comfortable relationship with the elderly in MOST facilities. If you’re a family member, remember to appreciate the workers and your supportive communication will encourage similar behavior as that shown by Joshua Quarterman.

My father stayed at the assisted living center at Sprenger and had a great experience. He had moved from rehab and began to move around more had nice meals in the dining room and even made a few friends. Thank you Josh for such a great experience.
My grandfather is staying here in the nurse care unit. He has been there for 10 months and his health is better than it has been in years. He is well enough to move to assisted living but he likes the nurse care staff so much at nurse care that he wants to stay there. Tanisha Magwood, Amanda Cormier, Janet Bembry and Josh are among his EXCELLENT care team. Candice and Lisa, the activities directors plan great activities for the staff.
My husband was there for SNF after a knew replacement. He did not have a great experience. Meds were not given when they should have been. He was in so much pain the first night due to getting medication. It took initially 12 hours after arriving to receive medication. The food was horrible, it was cold, inedible and not healthy looking. Was given a menu, but still served whatever. Some of the staff were rude and unprofessional. Unprofessional language used. Some staff made him feel like he was bothering them. No assistant to the restroom. The a/c went out and it took 3 1/2 days to get a solution only after contacting the coordinator. Had to purchase a fan to keep the room cool. Staff does not routinely check on the patients. The only bright spot in this stay was the PT and OT staff. They are phenomenal. This is the only reason for the 1 star rating. No security. Could walk into the facility without having to sign in or out. How terrifying that could be for patients with limited mobility. I would never recommend any family member or anyone to stay at this facility. It's a shame you have to pay for this type of service.
Recently a loved one was put here. We visited from out of town on two consecutive days. On our first arrival, we had a hard time gaining access to the facility that is supposedly a 24 Hour facility. Luckily, another visitor saw us, and let us in. No one was at the 'help desk", so we asked around, and ultimately got a bit closer to where we should be for the memory care facility. The "help desk" in that wing, was clearly stressed out, interrupting the questions several times, and giving off a general sense of being bothered. Once inside the actual memory care facility, the nurse we spoke with was helpful, polite, took the time to answer questions, everything you would expect from a place like this. The second time, meaning the next day, the staff could not be bothered with us. Didn't have time to answer questions, could not find the residents any salt for their meals. We even had to wait over five minutes for someone to have a moment to let us out. On day three of the visit, our loved one fell, and had to be taken by ambulance to the local hospital for stables in the head.
