I was very pleased with the tour I received last Wednesday from Tia. She was very professional and knowledgeable about the building. She was so engaged with staff and even other residents on the tour. The fact that she remembered their names was very impressive. My husband and I left completely relaxed by the look of the building and the energy she gaved. I can't wait until my mom admits Monday. I know she will be in good hands.

I am a veteran volunteer with MiraSol Health Hospice Care in Bluffton, SC. Sprenger staff, who care very much for veterans, have partnered with us in a unique program. The last Thursday of each month we get together with their veterans, veteran groups and the local American Legion post for "Coffee with Comrads". All veterans at the facility gather together to experience a sharing time and a renewed feeling of belonging. Thank you Sprenger Health Care for allowing this partnership in your facility.
My Dad was a resident of this wonderful facility for over a year and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about his experience and every person that we encountered during his time there. Each staff member went out of their way to make the last part of my father's life as comfortable as possible. Their Memory Care is absolutely amazing, Ted went above and beyond to help my Dad as he declined, he was our guiding light as my sister and I navigated his illness. I have the utmost respect for the entire staff at this Sprenger location from the Director to the house keeping staff. They all treated my Dad with kindness, dignity, and respect, we feel so blessed that this was his "final home". I would highly recommend Sprenger to anyone who has a loved one who needs any and all levels of care, from rehab to skilled nursing to memory care. They care and that is not easy to find in the world today.
You should avoid this facility. I would have a very hard time trying to think of anything that was actually good. However in all fairness the PT was good but limited. The cleanliness on a scale of 10 was a 6, the food on a scale of 10 was a 1.5. My wife refused to eat any of the meals and I had to bring in meals just so she had something acceptable to eat. Sprenger advertises that they have snacks for their patients when it is not mealtime; we found that to be false. The nurses were competent and nice but the rest of the staff that attended to my wife were abrupt and rude. If you press the call button because you need assistance be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. They do not have the staff to properly run a Skilled Nursing Facility. We witnessed the head nurse delivering meals and performing other non medical tasks. This facility does patient laundry but upon checkin we were advised that it would be better if the family took in home to laundry. In speaking with one of the residents he told us that if you have anything nice don’t sent it to the laundry as it won’t come back. He also said that when this happens don’t confront the staff as they will get really mean. I could go on and on but please DONT put your loved ones in this facility.
My Dad transitioned from a memory care facility to skilled nursing at Sprenger. Except for one nurse, the staff was excellent -- from the nurses, aides, and even the people serving food/drinks. The nurses were attentive, engaged, and always available for updates. We always felt he was getting the best care possible under the sad circumstances. Even in my Dad's last days, you could feel the true compassion and genuine sadness from all the staff. If you have to put a loved one in skilled nursing, I would recommend this place.
