This place needs negative Stars!!! I assume Cassidy is there a spokesperson, I will refer to her as sunshine and rainbows! Because that's how it was presented to me. All well and good, if the facility was taken over but after a year some improvement needs to be done!!! Especially the mold-infested air condition units and the filthy heater units!!! I literally thought I was walking into Bates Motel!!! They are understaffed and not equipped dementia nor diabetic patients! My mom is supposed to be on a cardiac diet, they gave her salt on her tray, unacceptable!!! She was hospitalized for edema 2 days into her rehab stay she was back to square one when I took her to the hospital!!! My blood pressure went through the roof!!! The staff was notified of her diet along with her legs not to be dangling! Everyday that I came in her legs were hanging she was sitting in a wheelchair! If I knew this I would have never sent her there!!! I just needed a break from running to the hospital everyday and still didn't get a break this was a nightmare!!! So I hope this review helps please do not send your loved one or your animals here I wouldn't trust them! There were two nurses there that were very nice and very kind I'm sorry that they have to work in those conditions!

I was notified by a staff nurse that my Sister suffered a fall on Sunday evening. I asked if she was going to be sent to the emergency room for an evaluation or x-ray. I was told by the nurse that someone would come to the facility and do an x-ray on Monday. Later that day they called me to tell me that they think there was a slight fracture on her left hip. So now they decided to send her to the ER. Her left hip was fractured. She was admitted to the hospital. Since there was a delay in care she had to be placed on an on call waiting list for the surgery. The surgery wasn’t done until Tuesday so basically she suffered from Sunday up until she was admitted into the hospital. I am a nurse and I work in the Emergency Room. Needless to say this situation was poorly handled!
I just recently left SJEC I thought they had a great staff from the nurses to the physical therapists everyone was real kind. They showed compassion kept the room clean I really have no complaints thank you for the positive vibes🥰
I’ve been a resident at this facility for the past seven months while working on my rehab. The staff, nurses and CNAs are hands down one of the best. They are attentive, compassionate and motivating. When I was at my lowest, they listened to me and encouraged me that I can conquer the difficulties I was experiencing. That’s not to say there isn’t room for improvement — the exterior and interior of the facility could use some investments, but that’s not a priority. It’s hard to be away from family, feeling down and hard on oneself. In those moments you truly see how hard the nurses and aides are work to give you excellent care. I would not have made the progress I have were it not for this stellar team. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping me get better.
I know some people judge a facility by the way it looks but it count as how the staff treat you and what I can say is south Jersey extended care had its up and down when I was here but they pulled through the staff is friendly they check up on you the nurses are sweet kind caring and called them as family as they treat you as family when you down therapy is EXCELLENT WONDERFUL I’m telling you when I had issues they build me up in a month in a half. My shoutout goes to everyone there who I make there day you just don’t know what a family or employee is going through
