We moved to Souderton Mennonite Homes five years ago, just a few weeks before the onset of COVID. Since then, we’ve been incredibly happy here, having met many wonderful and caring people. The staff is always helpful and friendly, creating a true family atmosphere. We especially love our cozy villa, surrounded by beautiful scenery, including a small garden. I would highly recommend visiting and exploring our campus—it offers various living options to consider. After the recent loss of my husband, I’m especially grateful for the loving, supportive environment and the safe, welcoming place I now call home.

SMH is a fantastic place to live. The people are very friendly. It has many activities-- almost like being on a cruise ship with so many choices to do or not do. Cafe food is great. The administration listens to your concerns and seeks to provide the best for all. A big shout out to Sandra and Heather as they make our lives very fulfilling and challenging. And the fitness center with Kristen is fantastic--plenty of classes and the fitness equipment is first class. So glad we moved here even thought it was a few years before we had planned.
Best place to live! It's almost 8 years since I moved here and I am grateful daily. Staff is wonderful - caring, pleasant and responsive, activities are plentiful, programs are top notch, the Apple Orchard Cafe has great food and The Corner Store must be seen to be believed!! (BTW, the Cafe and Store are open to the public - check them out!) In case it wasn't obvious - I love it here!!
I'm on my twenty fifth year as an independent living resident at Living Branches Souderton campus. When my husband and I made the decision to move here, that was one of the best decisions we made in our lifetime. There are many events and activities with which one can get involved. You look at the calendar and pick and choose which ones you want to engage in.
I can only speak of what they call the "Health Care Unit" (Skilled nursing and memory care). My father was here for about a month. He came in with a broken arm and dimentia. The staff was caring but very concerned with rules and hierarchy. My dad's arm was not supported and what was a very minor fracture was so mis-managed it did not heal well and is permenently deformed. There were other issues too. After a few days we realized we had to find another location for him and took him out as soon as we could.
