The staff is very friendly, professional, and takes excellent care of my Mom. They mention any concerns they have and vice versa. Very easy to work with. The food is great (personally eaten several meals there). Her room is a nice 1 bedroom and suits her needs. She has a balcony and can sit out there enjoy the fresh air. I believe they offer good service for the fees that are charged.

Small community apartment complex for independent senior living. One of our family members was a resident for 3+ years. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The quality meals per day and many social activities daily. Highly recommend you tour if you're looking for a home for your independent senior.
I just wanted to say how amazing Solstice in lee’s summit is! Over the past year they have improved so much with Housekeeping, dining, and the food! They have definitely over come a lot of obstacles. I have noticed anytime there is a bump in the road the staff and directors work as a team to make it better. Its not easy keeping staff with the way the economy has been but this solstice team doesn’t give up! Just watching them and listening to them they strive to do whatever it takes to keep the residents happy. The activities director is always keeping the residents busy and doing fun activities. Weather it be fun outings, crafts, tasty treats and fun vendors that come in! I love how she has meetings with the residents and talk about ideas. She always asking what they like and don’t like to try and make each of the residents happy!
When my mother moved in here we were all very happy with it. Apartments were nice- food was good and services were as expected. Then everything went downhill. Food is so bad now we take meals in to her. I wouldn’t feed what they serve most of the time to my dog. The housekeeping staff quit. Meals when they are served are late and are so understaffed the maintenance man has been called on to help. I know there are many moving out- would not be surprised if they close or change ownership. My mother is moving out in a few weeks as well. Steer clear of this one.
As a first responder to this facility I have to say that the new management and staff have brought this place back from the prior “intermediary” management that was in place just prior. Jill has brought back the resident first priority and really cares about the care and attention the residents receive. Desiree at the front desk is always pleasant and also embodies the resident first attitude and helps whenever needed or asked. It makes me happy to see the changes they’ve made over the past few months since taking charge. Keep up the good work!
