This place was the worst experience in my moms life. She was there from mid Jan-March of this year. This place is absolutely disgusting. The only reason we were there is because it was the only place covered by her insurance that had open rooms available when the hospital discharged here. I visited her multiple times a week and every time I did, you can hear people screaming and crying for help the entire time you are there. Literally in every hallway. She was always waiting for meds, sometimes didn't even get them. It took hours for her to get changed and that happened often. The food is a disaster. One day when I was there, they brought her just plain white bread, a shot glass sized cup of cold tomato soup and rock hard mashed potatoes. I have attached a picture for reference. They said: "It is what it is" when we questioned the food. During one of her PT sessions, there was a bed bug that was found by my mom, Andy and Rosemarie. When the insurance decided to stop paying for her to stay there. It took WEEKS for the admin staff to get the paperwork arranged for me to be able to move her to a better facility when I chose one. They gave nothing but excuses and it took weeks to get prescriptions and for the doctor that visits the facility to fill out the paperwork. Even now, I am still being sent a bill that is incorrect with no reply to my multiple emails I've sent over the last 4-5 months that we've been gone from there to correct their mistake. I truly believe that my mother would not be alive had she stayed at Echo Manor. Since I moved her in late March, her health has improved physically and mentally, and she is receiving proper care from a great facility. Stay away from this place at all costs! If a hospital attempts to discharge your loved one and this is the only option, appeal that discharge until you can find a better place.

This place killed my mom through neglect. They neglected her for weeks and LIED to us about it until it was too late. Lead to sepsis, infections in her organs, extreme pain, and discomfort. Her doctors weren't surprised, they said they get patients in bad condition from this place all the time. If you love your family member, DO NOT send them here. It WILL NOT be okay, your family member WILL suffer, the nurses and administration WILL kill them. If you work here, you should be ashamed.
No place is perfect and even good people can let you down but as far as the staff and services at Echo Manner go they are pretty darned good. I came here for care from a long illness and hospitalization. I arrived on the day the quarantine became enforced so I have been in here without my family and friends being allowed to visit. The staff have been kind and compassionate. They make this a warm and caring place. They take great care of the residents. I would highly recommend anyone to come here for care. I have been exposed to several care facilities and Echo Manor is hands down the best I have seen. All of the posts on here prior to mine were based on a different company managing this facility and really should not apply to current ratings.
DO NOT GO HERE. They advertise a salon, but they don't really have one because they don't have a license. Their food is disgusting and small, and DOESNT FOLLOW MEDICAL DIETS. You wait hours for water, blankets, and even medicine. My nurses told me to wait in line, and then never came back. I waited FIVE HOURS for water. Their nursing staff is incredibly rude, loud, and unhelpful. There is no real wound care as advertised; they just slap a bandage on and call it done. DO NOT GO HERE
My friend was there for about two and a half weeks. It was quite an ordeal. Let me start with the good. Her physical therapists were consistent, professional and she made great progress. There were a few aids that were outstanding and kind. Some aids were loud and insulting, especially about helping you use the bathroom, etc. Sometimes she waited for hours to get a bed pan. Of course the place was also short on staff. A few of her medications were lost and she had to go without. The Administrator seemed overwhelmed and requests were not carried out in a timely manner.
