After many visits to many places in Austin, we were introduced to SoCo Village Assisted Living by the services of CarePatrol. We needed a caring place for my Mom, who was suffering from end stage renal disease. The highest level of care was needed for her and SoCo could provide it in surroundings that didn't look or feel like a hospital. We moved Mom in and were settling her in while she met the nursing staff and her new Hospice Austin team when she told me she was dying. She was right, and lasted only a few more hours, holding our hands and drifting to sleep and then into peace. SoCo medical personnel were there and helping in every way they could, and we felt very supported. The next day, the Community Relations Director, Sarah Capp, called to express their condolences and let me know that they were refunding our deposit and prorated rent check, given the circumstances, and their generosity helped so much as we had to pay moving costs once again to move Mom's stuff out. It was a difficult time for us, but SoCo Village was unfailingly kind and helpful and we are very appreciative.

My mom has been at SOCO for about three months. The level of care she is getting and the caring nature of the caretakers is beyond anything I have experienced. I feel like they have taken all the burden off of me. Of course I don’t mean my mom is a burden as I adore her but all the hard stuff. Her day to day, her medication, and her entertainment. I can not say enough about SOCO. I have always said that the leader of an organization and the way they care and lead trickles down. Melissa the Executive Director is a great leader. I see her holding the hands of and physically embracing the residents that need a bit of love. She knows what is going on with each of her residents. She is also a great calm voice when I might be a bit panicked about something. I am thrilled to have my mom where she is thriving. Oh, and Sarah The Community Relations Director was one of the reasons why we chose SOCO. She has been amazing from the beginning to now.
SoCo Village is a great place to live. I am so pleased and impressed with the caring, loving, and dedicated staff of SoCo Village of South Austin. They are attentive and efficient with my Dad's meds, meals, activities, room service and laundry. My family and I enjoy visiting him and he enjoys his room and his visitors. Thank you SoCo Village! ❤😁👍
I moved my Mother into So Co Village after living in another Assisted Living Community for several years. I could not be more pleased! The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, responsive, caring and genuinely lovely!! The community is clean and bright! It is beautifully, decorated, with high ceilings, wide hallways and lots of natural light. Sarah Capp the Sales Coordinator is a joy to work with. Christine the Director is genuinely interested in the community members, their families and care. Peter the Medical director is professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. What a wonderful place to call home!!!
SoCo Village is an awesome community serving seniors in the hip south congress area! They have a stunning interior, an amazing chef (seriously, AMAZING!), and caring staff. Sarah is so sweet and is a great resource during your search for support for your loved one. 5 stars!
