Our mother and stepfather have been residents in independent living at Smith's Mill for about two years. The experience has been great. The staff, including housekeeping, maintenance, dining services, activities coordinators, transportation and the business office, have been wonderful to work with. The facility is modern, attractive, clean and well maintained. The food is excellent and there are numerous activities each day in which the residents can participate. They also have multiple events and outings, and transportation is available for doctor visits, picking up prescriptions, etc. We greatly appreciate the care, attention and support the Smith's Mill Independent Living team has been providing!

I have been very pleased with Smith Mill's assisted living facility. My family member has done very well since moving in full time. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the facility is very well maintained. I was shocked at how much attention there is to activities for the residents. They also do a good job of planning activities for family members to attend. Providing transportation and planning for activities outside of the facility are a nice touch also. Smith Mill has helped to relieve some of the stress involved with caring for family members that need 24 hour assistance. I believe the interaction with staff and other residents have helped to improve the quality of life for my family member.
My father has been at Smith's Mill for 10 months now - he started in the skilled nursing/rehab unit where he was well cared for and grew stronger, and then he transferred to the memory care unit. I visit every day. The aides are very kind and responsive, the nursing staff is helpful and personable and they call me even for the smallest concerns, which I appreciate. The activities director knows each resident and their individual preferences, and the staff takes the time to invite my dad to all the planned activities, whether it's exercise, cooking class, art work, or scheduled outings. My dad has grown stronger and healthier since moving in, and I appreciate knowing he's safe and well cared for.
I have been so pleased with Smith's Mill. The facility is beautiful and the staff are excellent!! I feel that my mother is getting daily personal attention and that she's truly cared for and loved. When the time came to increase her level of care it was difficult to move her to a care facility but the transition was so smooth that now she recognizes Smith's Mill as her home and I believe she is content in her surroundings and the people that care for her every day. I highly recommend the facility.
Working with Smiths Mill as I transitioned my mom from Florida back to Ohio after losing my father was a blessing. The attention and service , along with PT she received to move from skilled nursing to Independent Living was a big accomplishment of which is greatly due to them; they continued to push her to be the best. Over the 3 years of now living at Smiths Mill she continues to thrive and has enjoyed her new relationships both staff and personal. Thank you to the staff and all that you do for our loved ones!
