My father has been living in Personal Care for 6 months, and I couldn’t be happier with the facility, all site staff, the PC staff in particular and how well cared for he is. Sherwood is very clean, well-maintained, safe, secure and everyone is well cared for there. The food is excellent too! The staff on PC is genuinely kind, helpful and caring. We are so lucky to have found this place and my father is happy!

We loved seeing my Great Grandma to visit while we were in town during the summer break and got to eat dinner downstairs as a family! 😊
I visit my dad here often. He's been here 6-7 years now and has been happy. I know he is being well taken care of, and that even though he lives in a patio apartment he has to check in daily. There are a lot of things to do, plus trips. Neighbors have all been very friendly. It's a great area to walk the dog. I love that there are a few rooms in the lodge for guests. Since it is a retirement community there are a variety of ages here. Overall, a good place.
My Dad has been at Sherwood Oaks for a little over a month in the rehab part. When I tell you that every single person there is amazing, I mean it sincerely. I was so nervous when I knew he was going to rehab, you hear so many horror stories. I live out of state in NH which made it even harder. Much to my relief my family members kept assuring me how nice it was and how nice everyone there was. I was blessed to see it with my own eye when I came to stay for a week to spend time with Dad. They are ALL so so caring, attentive and kind. It is a hard job and I am sure like every where else they are short staffed, you would never know it for a second. They come in with a huge smile, joke with Dad, make sure he is comfortable and just treat him with so much respect. I was choked up a few times just feeling such overwhelming relief that he was getting such amazing care. And not just good care, the kindness…… they make him feel important, they ask about his dog, his grandchildren, they go above and beyond to form a bond with patients. It really is a beautiful place. If you are researching to see if your loved one would be safe here, I would recommend it 1000% I have never seen a place so packed with amazing staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such amazing care of my Dad.
My mother is in Skilled Nursing here. When Dad was alive and they'd been married 2 years (17 years ago) DD sold the home he'd made with his first wife and they moved to an apartment here. Then 3 years ago he had a stroke and moved to Skilled Nursing. So Mother moved into Assisted Living. Just after the pandemic got here he died at 100 years 7 months. Since then Mother fell and went to Skilled Nursing where she has a very homey room filled with her things. The staff thru all of this has been superb. The care they give is better than she'd gave if living with any of us. She is adored here. It ain't cheap, but it is the best I've ever seen. During the pandemic, staff kept us up to date and when I called a month or so after Dad died to tell staff she needed emotional support and human touch they took time daily to give her that. I love everything about Sherwood Oaks.
