I would like to share how truly great and unique this facility must be. I say that because I do not have a loved one living there but I do know several members from there who work in different depts/shifts/levels. Some from the very top. Some who are behind the scenes and a few who are on the " front line". I also have lived in Imlay City most of my 50 years along with the rest of my family and we've been here for every bit of 100 years. So we kinda know everyone and everywhere I go I end up running into someone who, not knowing that my best friend, neighbor, ect work there, is raving about the staff. I personally can testify to the level of ( not required)dedication they all have to their residents. I have watched them leave in the middle of the night to go check on someone. Cried at home about losing one. Left from their own children's school functions to hold a hand. Leave my father in laws funeral service because she felt she was needed. I've spent a weekend vacation up north with several of them and watched as they walked away to talk on the phone with one of their senior buddies. The manager ( and yes maybe I'm biased)has been there since the doors opened. In fact she won't admit it because she's too humble...she did stuff like made care packages and handed out info about the place BEFORE the doors opened! To this day she borrows items and helps builds props for fun activities. Even helped keep "her" residents warm with blankets ( in her pjs)in the middle of the night on her " day off" during a brief false fire alarm. And one of her only complaints is I wish I could do more for my awesome staff. Plus the place is beautiful. And safe. To me - when i have visited- not a " nursing home" vibe @all. This is just my take on the place. Hopefully if youre on the fence about if it's the right choice for your loved...the approx 12 employees past and present I know are TOP NOTCH and the approx 20 residents that I knew that are now gone...not a single unhappy family.
I highly recommend Seren Gardens of Imlay City. Any family member is welcome here. The staff and management take great care of each resident equally. They do it all with great teamwork and communication. The staff and management is also very kind and helpful.
Beautiful location and staff and management are amazing! They make your loved one feel at home and take pride in the care they provide. We couldn’t ask for a better, more caring, loving team!!
I cannot say enough positive remarks I have for this facility or the kind, caring people that work there. From the first introduction of the facility by the manager to the last day my father was in their care, I felt as though he was receiving care from the family. The facility overall is in excellent shape. The room my father had was always cleaned and tidied. He was allowed to bring in his favorite recliner, which made his room much more comfortable. Each room has a wall-mounted television, dresser, closet, bed, and a nightstand. Plenty of storage and space for an individual. Topping the experience off is the outstanding staff. Caregivers treat residents as if they were their own family. My dad felt secure and cared for by all. He commented that the food, homemade, was good and that there was a good variety to it. There were many opportunities for my father to socialize with other residents (mealtime, exercise classes, concerts, and puzzle solving). My interaction with the management was also positive when dealing with the contract and payments. High praise to the staff!
