My grandfather lived in this retirement home for almost 10 years following the death of my grandmother. He always felt very good there and really appreciated the memory exercises and the gymnastics classes. There are regular activities in the center and the staff are very attentive. Unfortunately, he passed away but the director and caregivers were very attentive to our family.
We would like to thank the entire staff and management for the very good care of our mother. It was the best decision for this facility 4 years ago, from the care to the technical aspects, but the best thing is the human dignity of how the residents and relatives are treated there. You feel like you're in a big family.
I would like to share my experience here. And it's good! The Gildscheuer senior center is a very modern nursing home. All employees do a very good job, as a relative I have experienced this very often. I have never experienced residents being processed quickly or treated poorly. My grandpa also felt comfortable in the two years he lived there. Overall there is a very family atmosphere. There are living areas with 15 people, there are two areas on each floor. This means that each area has its own ambience. The atmosphere is generally nice, bright, friendly. The kitchen is good, you take into account the people there and their sensitivities (some people get pureed food, others can eat themselves, others get it). I have never experienced it as being unloving, on the contrary: the carers always sit down, talk to people, help, hold hands. The care and supervisors are always very nice and professional. There are also many activities undertaken with the residents, ranging from readings, crafts, painting and sitting exercises - I also find the offerings very extensive. A plan is always displayed in the foyer. There were corresponding adjustments due to Corona. At the weekend, relatives often sit downstairs with the residents, drinking coffee, eating cake and playing board games. Unfortunately, a nursing home is always a "last stop" on the journey of life, but I think that the Goldscheuer senior center does a good job. My grandmother, in her final stages, was also given touching care, especially in her last days. Maybe this assessment will help you get a picture from the perspective of a relative who is also affected.
A very good retirement home! Very nice staff, friendly, helpful and very attentive to people. Excellent leadership. Modern, bright and clean rooms. I have known the house, many of its employees and residents since it began over 6 years ago through many visits to family and highly recommend it.
