SLR, formerly Chelsea of Marlboro, is where my dad has been living for the past two years. We chose it because it was close to home, the staff was very welcoming and we felt it was the best place for him. The new owners have been working steadily to make improvements for the better. The aides are very kind and well trained. The nursing staff is terrific. Michele, one of the nurses, is on top of everything that my dad needs. And let's not forget the few wonderful staff members that are at the front desk. You know who you are....the place would not be the same without you!!!!

Wish I could give it more. We gave it time and listen to promises turn to lies. Dad wasn't happy Chelsea and was hoping slr would bring a welcoming change. Alas I was wrong. All flash no substance. Poor quality care,poor quality food and poor quality employees. I just come to find out the director is only acting director and he has never been before. I was under the pretense that he was well trained. Wrong. Now I find out that Cecily will not be returning , rates are going up and, I cannot get one good answere as to why. So I am afraid our time is done. I wish I could say thank you but, in reality you haven't done anything positive to thank and goodbye is too good a word so I will just say fare the well.
We are so pleased and grateful with the care and attention our father receives at the Chelsea at Marlboro.. He moved here from an assisted living facility in Florida 3 months ago and we couldn't be happier.. He feels so much more secure and comfortable here. Thanks to the kind, welcoming and attentive staff, he was able to acclimate to his new environment quickly. The residents are treated with dignity and respect and the staff are responsive and compassionate to their needs. We are so appreciative of the entire Chelsea staff and we highly recommend this community.
My mom who is 97 and suffers with dementia is at Chelsea at Marlboro. We are very pleased with the care she has been given there. The staff is very attentive to her every need. The place is always clean and makes it a point to keep the residents busy with various games and projects that stimulate the mind while having them socialize in a friendly environment. Very happy we placed her at Chelsea at Marlboro.
Our father stayed here for four months. During that time he experienced excellent care. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The facility was very nice, clean and modern. There are many activities for the residents if one wants to be social such as wine get togethers and movies every night after dinner. The restaraunt had very good food (according to our father) - you can either order off the menu or on the menu and food can be taken in the restaraunt or in ones room. The restaruant has a small room off the side where the family can have a meal with the resident - we did this a number of times with my father. The front desk people, staff nurse, various coordinators, and health aides were excellent people to work with. When they had concerns about my father or needed us to bring him supplies they were quick to pick up the phone and call us. There was on instance where my the health aid noticed a discoloration in my fathers urine - they quickly got it tested and determined he had a urinary infection and had him in the hospital in a couple hours where he received treatment - The hospital said he had a bad UTI and we were lucky to get my father there so quickly. Overall we had a very positive experience there at Chelsea.
