Reaching out to all retirement communities in Charlotte, NC. I live in Colorado and my grandmother is 89 and legally blind. I've exhausted myself in E-mailing and calling many retirement communities, 55+ communities, Independent living and anything else i can think of. Being out of state i cant come and tour any of the places i have researched. With that being said this Senior Living Communities is the only company to not care at all. Everyone else has reached out through E-mail or a phone call and on more then 1 occasion. With Senior Living Communities i get a generic E-mail back saying we would love for you to come tour!...I wrote a decent sized emailing explaining my situation and that is what i receive back? So i reiterate that i am out of state and need information via phone or E-mail and i have had zero response. Does this make this place a bad place to put your parent or grandparent..No. But it does speak volumes. Did you read my email before copy and pasting a generic response having little to do with my needs. When spending this amount of money i do expect effort. I work in a funeral home and i understand the sensitivity of situations and figuring out what to do with your blind elderly grandparent whom you don't live close to is hard, emotional and deserving of a human response. If you care so little from the start i can only imagine the effort that goes in everywhere else.
