My father signed up to Senior Life a few years ago, against the family's recommendations as he did not need in home care. He saw this as an inexpensive health insurance plan (he was 80). Senior Life filled his prescriptions for 2 months, that's it. Never transported him, never provided in home care or housing for my father. He quit after 2 months. He passed late last year and we were shocked to discover that Senior Life had charged Medicare $4,000 per month for the last 27 months of his life, even though he didn't use the program and was never in their care. Medicare is taking it from my father's estate, which means his home, his car, and everything he worked for his whole life is now state owned. For $172 worth of prescriptions, his estate paid more than $100,000 and my siblings and I are left nothing from his estate. Shameful abuse of the system and seniors.

My grandfather recently passed away & all I have to say is they are the absolutely worst. They are all about the money & their care was a 3/10 AT BEST throughout the whole company. I will not drop names because these are our experiences but; I discourage anyone & everyone from using them for anything. The providers and most of their workers are not good & are rude to the families during trying times. They don’t want to run tests/provide care when it’s necessary and my Pap could have passed a lot sooner had we had not advocated for them to do a chest x-ray months ago - the home he was at told us that. The only positive thing they did was help us place him in the best possible place where he received really good care but, Senior Life dropped the ball when it came to him having pneumonia, a wound, etc. Their social worker (and this is coming from a social worker) was kind but not great. She tried to get my Gram to sign up for services multiple times despite being told NO and had the balls to call THE DAY my Pap passed less than 12 hours after it happened to give her condolences and see if she could do anything for my gram (aka again to sink their teeth in for services) but, when my gram called Monday while he was still alive, it was crickets. She didn’t return her call and that was a common thing that happened (again; I’m social worker - we are busy most of our days but, you always always always call a family back). They would drop the ball and then say they were waiting for us to make decisions & really they just didn’t do the things we told them were ok with us. DO NOT sign up with these people. They do not follow through most of the time. If I knew then, what I know now, we would have never gone with but, we did have some good months with him prior to his passing. This will probably get deleted because it’s so negative and that’s fine. I’ll post it again because I never ever want people to go through what we did.
Just signed on about 2 mths. ago. So far, so good. Will let you know down the road.
I regret my mom ever signing up & now she is gone at 73 years old. They do not care about our loved ones. My mom had intestinal hemorrhaging & throwing up. The nurse just said she had food poisoning. Less then a week later, we found her dead on her couch & now the Dr. there wants to simply say her heart stopped.......unacceptable. They need shut down.
Terrible, terrible, terrible. I have ( had) 2 family members going here at the same time. My mother passed and it's only my aunt now. Medical concerns ignored. Promises of call-backs never fulfilled. Patient/medicine requests ignored. Even the activities are subject to favoritism. This has been ongoing for years. I wish I could give 0 out of 5 stars....
