Why is it you're allowing delivery drivers to have codes to get into your facility not walk them through or take the food from them to where they have to walk through your facility where there's sick people or they could be sick causing your patience to be sick? What the hell is wrong with your facility to wear this is just absolutely disgraceful. Tom Dick and Harry should not be allowed to be able to free roam in your facility and do whatever they want to do while you have people in your care. Anything can happen! I as a delivery driver and very angry at coming across this. I was giving a code to get into the facility. No one took the food from me and actually told me I had to deliver it to the room of the patient clear across your facility. And I could not get out and had to go back and get the information to get out I was never escorted. Deplorable. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Goes against so many health code and security regulations.

Sellersburg healthcare center is it training facility they train CNAs from all around the area and other counties. They have a shortage of employees and with covid and all the restrictions in healthcare facilities it's understandable their understaffed. But from what I've seen the employees do everything they can to help. Everyone is friendly but take their jobs very seriously. It's well maintained, and God bless them and the residents that live here.
If I could do zero stars I would. A friend of mine had been at this facility for a while and at the age of 93 she naturally passed away. This place is full of people with very little compassion. When I found my friend passed away in her bed they again had no compassion for that. Also they would not allow me to take a pictures of blankets for her funeral. Hospice and the funeral home as well has tried to get a few things and they just keep saying they aren’t allowed to speak with anyone about it and nothing is to leave her room. I’m sitting here at her funeral and there isnt a single picture of her because of this. It’s really awful!
Shout out to Shelby Elswick, LPN for going the extra mile to advocate for our loved one in her time of need. Shelby demonstrates what real nursing is supposed to look like. Her excellent assessment skills and efforts got our family member the care she desperately needed and likely saved her life. Thank you Shelby for being the silent hero and standing in for those that have no voice of their own.
DO NOT send a loved one here. They either keep or throw your loved ones belongings away. My mom had bought scrubs for my uncle to wear in the nursing home and he was always missing them after they would “wash” them. My mom left for vacation out of the country and left one of the male nurses, Michael, with my phone number since she is power of attorney and I am second in case of emergency. We went to visit my uncle as usual. Sometimes we would skip a Sunday, but sundays were the days we would visit. When we showed up with my kids, the nurse stopped me just as I was about to enter to ask me if I was his sister. I told him no that I am his niece. She apologized and told me that he had passed away that morning. They left his body in the bed from morning til we got there at 2:30! Michael never put my number in the system! They never had any of his paperwork to know what to do with him and it had nothing to do with my mom not providing them with any because she gave them everything that they said they needed. My husband asked them if they have a place to take the body in the event family isn’t reached for a while because if we were on their two week vacation, he would still be laying in that bed with his roommate in the same room. They looked at eachother and said no. They have the worst communication I have ever seen in a business, which is a HUGE NO! We asked what time he passed away and the lady took a guess that he probably passed around 9 or 9:05. Luckily there was a nurse in the hallway when we went to visit otherwise we would have walked in his room thinking he was asleep and trying to wake him up. It would have been traumatizing for my little ones to witness!!! They should have had my number to call as well!! They never verified that I am his niece, never asked me for ID or anything. They just took my word that I was his niece and that I am second of my mom isn’t available. I made the decision of what to do with his body and where to send it and they just took my word without having to speak to my mom and without having any paperwork. They are very unprofessional!
