This is a fantastic community in the beautiful city of Shoreview. Scandia Shores is charming is so many different ways, and it's the perfect place for anyone considering independent living to call home. The landscaping is gorgeous, the food is incredible, and the culture at Scandia Shores is something unique. The apartments are spacious and offer a great amount of natural light and a modern feel. There is also a garage, wood shop, billiards room, library, and recreation room for use. I highly recommend Scandia Shores!

We moved to Scandia Shores in March, and it’s the best move we’ve made since our retirement, 20 years ago. The staff, from the manager through the ranks to the housekeeping personnel, are professional, friendly, and ready to help. The entry and hallways are bright, cheery, and the building, apartments, and grounds are well maintained. We stroll the paved walking trail around the building with its small flower/veggie gardens along the way. We’ve taken part in some of the planned activities. Some are in the building, like exercise classes, holiday-related lunch, game afternoon, game night, an occasional guest speaker/musician, and sometimes it’s going out for a day’s adventure to various places on the ‘company’ bus. We know some folks who take advantage of the small ‘company’ bus to do their grocery shopping and take other ‘necessary’ excursions. Added to all that, most residents are friendly and willing to chat about ours and their life experiences. Five Stars, all the way!
