1429 N Utah Cottage Dr, Saratoga Springs, UT 84045, United States
I moved my mother into Saratoga View in September, after she broke her hip which necessitated a change to assisted living. The first couple of weeks she was there, it was rough. Shortly after my mother moved in the facility director was replaced and a lot of the staff left at the same time. Since then, everything has improved. The new staff are great. They really know and care about my mother and she receives all the help she needs. Before moving to Saratoga View my mother lived at a senior independent living facility for eight years, so I have experience dealing with senior facilities. I am much happier with the quality of food, and the way the facility is run compared to the previous facility my mother lived in. I recommend Saratoga View to anyone who is looking for an assisted living facility for their loved ones. **** Final comments: My mother passed away on January 11, 2025. I want to express my gratitude to the staff at Saratoga Springs for their compassionate care during her final two days. On the morning of January 10, my she experienced a heart attack. The staff acted quickly to ensure she was comfortable and called Hospice to provide additional support. My mother was conversant throughout Friday, but by Saturday, she could no longer speak. She passed away peacefully that evening, with my sisters by her side. It was incredibly comforting to witness the Saratoga Springs aides, staff, and Hospice nurses come together to care for her and express their love and respect. Because of her sharp mind and kind nature, my mother had developed close relationships with those who cared for her. Crystal, who oversees the care staff, has assembled a remarkable team. Her expertise and compassion stood out, especially during my mother’s final hours. She guided us through the process, helping us understand what to expect, which brought us a sense of peace during such a difficult time. After my mother passed, the love and respect the staff had for her were evident in their heartfelt condolences. Their hugs and kind words meant so much to me and my family. I am grateful for their care, professionalism, and the warmth they showed to my mother and my family. I’d like to address some of the negative reviews about Saratoga View based on my personal experience. My siblings and I spent a significant amount of time visiting our mother while she was at Saratoga View. Although she was on a catheter, she struggled with constipation and often pressed her call button to be taken to the bathroom. The staff consistently responded promptly and never showed any irritation, no matter how frequently she needed assistance. We also had a camera in her room, which allowed us to observe the staff's interactions during the day and night. We saw them regularly entering her room to care for her—helping her get ready for bed at night and assisting her in the morning. Based on what I observed, the staff did an excellent job attending to her needs. During the first month at the facility, my mom ate about half of her meals in her room. When I visited, the staff often asked if I wanted to eat and would willingly bring me a tray of food. They never charged extra for this in room service; other than the level 2 care we paid for. We were charged for some of the meals when we ate in the dining room. One of the reviews mentioned that residents were served a corn dog. I was present when this meal was offered, and it was served with macaroni and cheese. Despite being selective about her food, my mom enjoyed the corn dog, I also thought it was good. From my observations, the facility consistently served good-quality food. My mom particularly enjoyed Russel’s brand chocolate peanut butter ice cream and the mango fruit drink. She also liked having a glass of milk with her evening meal, and the staff always provided it for her. In summary, my family’s experience with Saratoga View was positive, and I felt my mother received attentive and compassionate care.

This stunningly beautiful brand new Senior Living community is exquisite and the most amazing place to work at, or reside. When you step into the front doors, you are always greeted by extremely warm and genuinely friendly staff. And, you instantly notice that all of the employees are genuinely happy and are always interacting so lovingly with the Residents. The meals are made from scratch and are hardy and delicious. I have eaten many times at Saratoga View dining room and have enjoyed the varieties of meals (Italian, Greek, French, Mexican, Peruvian, Hawaiian, Chinese, Mediterranean, German, and American). The Creme Brulee and Cheesecake have been the best I have eaten anywhere, as they have a very talented baker, as well. Saratoga View also has incredible volunteers and professionals who perform instrumental and vocal performances each week, and others who direct the Tai Chi, Oil Painting, Ukulele Club, Book Club, a Men's Club, Thursday Game Nights, and many other engaging events and celebrations! I absolutely LOVE this community!
The most shameful cash grab in the state of Utah. Though the staff is kind, they are understaffed to the point that they cannot complete their duties: a blatant mismanagement issue. This leads to poor care, including not helping residents who have fallen for 30+ minutes, or requiring them to call 911 when they do not get help! Now, they are even charging $8.50 for bringing meals to their room, PER MEAL. That is more than Uber Eats or Doordash! And for food that is so nasty it is not worth eating. The fact that it costs less to have an apartment in NYC to live here is absolutely disgusting. You just should not send your loved ones to stay here.
Before you consider moving your loved ones into this new facility, please check out several meal times. Sit with anyone in the dining room. That would be more impactful than the stories I can tell about cooks who don't show up multiple times per week, or frozen French fries and corn dogs or yucky canned fruit in lieu of healthy, palatable food. One of the bright spots in anyone's day should be at least one good meal. But when you're paying this much, then 2 or 3 isn't too much to expect.
I cannot recommend. They owe me a refund check for over 2k in accordance with the Residency Agreement. It has been 2 months. I have spoken with both the site manager and their accounts payable directly, and still nothing. It should not take this long to resolve, and I cant imagine how it can be acceptable to anyone who works in Saratoga View Management.
