This facility over all is well rounded. Much to do for residents, caring staff, an administrator that cares about staff and employees. No nursing home is perfect but what makes this home great is they strive each and everyday to become better then the previous day. When issues arise they work on finding out cause and building a solution.

This facility is poorly run and your family members will not be taken care of the way they should be. Staff frequently call in or show up late with no write ups or punishment from management. Residents are left soaked in soiled briefs and linen and not changed appropriately. Some residents are left in bed for days due to staff not wanting to get them up. Constant miscommunication with all levels of management, nursing staff, and therapy over isolation precautions, protocols, and resident statuses. Nursing staff are told to not be on their phones or AirPods, but the rule is not enforced and violates HIPPA. Management and social work do not support staff when dealing with inappropriate and aggressive family members and residents. Despite all efforts to talk to management and write reports, concerned staff are repeatedly told there is nothing management can do to improve resident care (ex. Rounding appropriately on off-shifts) and staff’s inappropriate behaviors. Management rewards bad staff behaviors by not enforcing rules and policies, thus the reliable and responsible staff have to suffer, which in turn causes patient care to suffer. One bad apple can cause the whole bunch to rot and that is what ETW management promotes. ETW needs strong management that will truly listen to their staff’s concerns about resident care and floor management, discipline inappropriate behaviors by staff that break their rules/guidelines, and enforce clear times in which rounds and care are to be done to ensure residents are changed regularly. ETW needs to set a clear example to the staff of the type of facility they want to be.
Edna Tina Wilson is a very warming and welcoming place. Staff is always very friendly, and takes great care of their residents in a promt matter. They also make a strive by keeping family informed and up to date with their family member’s care.
Edna Tina is a wonderful place. The employees truly care about the residents. Nurses and aides work so hard on caring for the needs of thier residents. Management works hard to meet the needs and wants of each resident.
My mom has to go there after being admitted to RGH. Has dementia and could not stay on her own . My advice, find a different nursing home. Total lack of communication and regard for patients’ well-being. They wanted to move a person with dementia to a new unit for space. We asked not to but they found a way around it saying my mom was inappropriate towards a male. Blame her on losing her heart monitor which hasn’t been installed since she was admitted. Her heart doctor had to call. Terrible facility. They don’t respond to emails or phone calls. We are filing a report with the appropriate government officials.
