We searched high and low for a memory care facility for our dad. When we stepped into RMAL in Wheatridge, we knew right away that it was the place for him. The facility is clean, bright, and cheerful. The community is small. And most importantly, the caregivers are consistent, kind and caring. The directors are knowledgeable, compassionate and responsive to questions and concerns. We are very grateful for the care our dad receives at RMAL.

We moved our mother from a larger assisted living facility in Arvada to Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, Wheat Ridge in Jan 2018. She was a resident for two years. We chose Rocky Mountain because of its location and it was a newer and smaller facility. We also noticed how clean and neat everything was. During my mother’s stay, the staff was kind and caring and her room was always clean. The owner was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. I would recommend them for the care of your loved ones.
I'm a registered nurse and also the daughter of aging parents. When my dad was diagnosed with cancer and needed more care, there was no question for me of where to move he and my stepmom. Being in the industry, we tend to know the good, the bad and the ugly! He chose the Wheat Ridge home, and couldn't be happier. They worked with me on the payments as we were waiting for the closing of their home to complete, the care staff were very attentive and loving to him, and most importantly, he was happy there. As there is no such thing as a "perfect experience," with anything, I will say that any concerns or complaints we had were addressed immediately. The directors are very responsive. Eventually my stepmom needed to be moved to a more specialized care home, and they helped me move him to a smaller apartment so that he could have his "man cave." My dad ended up with hospice care. The partnership between them and the hospice providers made me feel like he was in good hands, and I could just focus on being "daughter." He passed a year ago tomorrow. Overall, the experience was wonderful, loving and I highly recommend them for the care of your loved ones.
My father was here for 3 days and due to his diabetes complications we had to move him to a facility that had 24 hr nursing care. The facility is beautiful and I believe after my conversation with the owner he is building these facilities to help the elderly and their families. If my father did not require more care than they could provide we would have been happy there.
My dad has been part of the RMAL family for 18 months now. He recently moved to the memory care part of the building. The care in BOTH houses are beyond par. Upon the first day of moving in and also the transition to memory care -I was a mess....the staff were very supportive and giving to the family. Dad is happy, alert and making new friends and reacquainting to old ones. LAst time I touched Dad or any of his friends was March 10th. I speak to him on the phone and occasionally through the window and he looks great. Not being able to inspect his room or take care of his needs if there was a problem is of concern for me....but I feel that the caring, loving and giving staff at this wonderful facility have Dad's and the rest of the resident's well being at hand. Thanx for taking care of pops!!!!
