I don't think there could be a better place for my parents. They originally started off in independent care. They lived there for 8 years and loved it. As they needed a little more assistance one move into assisted care, the other into skilled care. They still eat meals together and the staff is so caring and informative. This is an amazing place. Definitely worth a visit if you are thinking of this for yourself or your parents.

Great facility and food. My mother in law has been transformed! She's the happiest in years. She no longer lives"alone." She has friends and travel companions whenever she wants them. She can choose to participate in things or not. Was a great move for her. it's definitely the best gift too give your children... Knowing someone's always looking out for the community.
Riverwoods is now allowing visitors to see the residents, however meeting up and socializing must take place outside. This allowed my family to go and celebrate my grandmother's birthday with her.
Junk mail senders-- junk mail that i did not ask for-stay away from my mailbox! Just got more junk mail from these people after asking them to stop sending them- They must be hard up for business.
Was helping an elderly neighbor move in. The place is huge and everyone I saw was very helpful and friendly. Seems like a lot of activities and they have a pool.
