This is such a beautiful building. Residents always seem happy with many activities. Staff, as well seem content with their positions and it makes for a cheerful setting. I’ve seen many nursing homes and I assure you Riverview is a solid 5 star facility!

I have had the opportunity to to visit several times in my work capacity as an RN with an insurance company. I have always found the staff to be courteous and helpful. I can't say that I have ever had one bad experience while caring for and checking on our members.
This is my first review. My mom Barbara has been in the memory care unit since October 19, 2022. She is 90 years old. It’s been an adjustment for the staff and my mom. I feel it takes a few weeks for the staff to learn about a resident. Mom is finally settling in and the staff has been attentive to my mom along with our family members. I have decided to wash moms clothes since laundry was not returning them on time. I feel Riverview needs to improve that area. Overall our family is pleased with Riverview. I continue to thank the nurses and CNA’s for all that they do. This is my second review. Our mom has now been at Riverview for 5 months. She is doing well. Some days are more difficult than others. I do feel I need to speak for my mom since she has Alzheimer now. The staff is very responsive to me. I would like to recognize Brendan. He is in charge of maintenance which includes laundry and housekeeping along with many other responsibilities. He is absolutely amazing. He cares so much for the residents and their families. He is one of those good souls. I would also like to recognize nurse Abby. Our mom is on the 3rd floor which is memory care lockdown. Abby also truly cares for the residents and their families. She is very sincere and responsive to my mom’s needs. I would like to thank the staff at Riverview for all that they do. I realize it’s a demanding job and I admire all of them. This is my third review. Our mom has been at Riverview for 6 months. She was recently moved to a private room right next to the nurses station. They need to watch my mom closely since she has been roaming into other residents rooms. Her Alzheimer’s is progressing. Her stories are getting wild and don’t make sense but in her mind they are real. This is very difficult to witness and also disturbing and upsetting for me. We have to praise the workers at nursing homes. My mom still likes to look nice and misplaces her jewelry. Funny how she puts many things in her walker seat. She does this to pack for her trips either on a plane or a cruise ship. I always make sure her clothes are washed and put them away neatly. With my mom right now I take one day at a time since some days she is upset and other days she is content. Thank you Riverview staff for caring for our mom Barbara. It is now December 2023 and mom has been at Riverview a little over a year. She is doing very well and 91 years old now. Some days she is agitated and more confused than normal. The staff has been wonderful. When I take her down to the main lobby for a walk so many staff members say hi Barbara. She doesn’t know how they all know her and I tell her she is very popular and liked here at Riverview. She loves getting her nails done and her appointments at the hair salon. Thank you to all the staff members at Riverview for their commitment to our elderly families. This past Sunday, December 17, 2023 Riverview had a Christmas celebration on the third floor lockdown area with great food and desserts. Mom got dressed up in a pretty jacket I had stored at my home. She had six of our family members attend this event. The staff worked hard to make this a special event for all of us. So grateful for Riverview. It’s January, 2024 now. Mom is doing so well. The staff is very attentive to her. This month mom received an award for “Most Classy” along with a trophy. During my recent visit with mom she told me she is very confused and had many questions for me. I told her I always tell her the truth so please trust me. She believed she had her own car parked outside and thought she drove it recently. I told her that is an old memory even though it feels very new. Thank you Riverview for caring for my mom. It allows me to enjoy my retirement with my husband. It’s January, 2025 now. Mom is 92 years old and basically doing good. Lately some days she is very agitated yet others days she doesn’t respond very well. It’s a rollercoaster. She recently had her hair permed and styled by Melynda in the hair salon at Riverview. Mom just loves this. Here are a few recent photos.
The nursing staff is amazing. The patients and residents are made very comfortable. The lobby is beautiful, I know they’re upgrading the facility. The lobby is almost lounge like and the receptionist is very pleasant. I recommend this place.
Riverview Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center has such friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere at this center is very comforting, they make you feel taken care of.
