I was impressed by the attitude of the people who works there. Everybody seemed to be content and pleased to answer any question I asked them. One of the cooks even came to our table and talked to us about the questions we asked him.
The staff at River's Edge is very professional and caring. The grounds and the facility are well taken care of. I was trying to figure out what I wanted in a facility...in the end I just had a good feeling of what I saw and felt in my 2 tours with Breah Taylor. She knew so many residents, is easy to talk to and knew answers to my questions. It means a lot to know there are long term employees. This place was at the top of my list and we will definitely consider River's Edge for Mom when the right time comes.
My wife and I moved to River's Edge in December, 2023. It was a good move for us. We got "ahead of the game" in terms of elderly people moving from a house to another resident. We chose River's Edge because our fellow residents are wonderful. We have established numerous new friendships. The property is close to midtown Sacramento. If you don't drive, River's Edge provides transportation to nearby doctors and shopping. There are many different social activities. Meals are good. We are happy with our decision to move here!
I have visited River's Edge many times in the last two years. The community always has activities going on , lots of resident engagement, happy faces, and a very caring, attentive staff. The setting is so pretty with the redwood trees in the front of the Assisted Living/Memory Care building, and the garden area behind the entire building including Independent Living is beautiful. If you're touring senior living communities, don't miss this one! Lots of good food, too.
