I’ve come to Rio before, and every time I have a phenomenal experience. The staff here are really knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, and patient. This time I had the pleasure Of working with Esmeralda. She is an absolute rockstar! My mom is disabled and uses a walker, and we have been looking for a hybrid walker and transport chair so when we take her to a museum or shopping, we don’t have to carry to devices in the car. Rio is the only place in this area with such a wide selection to try in store of all kinds of adaptive devices. Esmeralda spent all the time I needed to measure various aspects of the chairs check the specs, let me try them myself, and even looked up online for additional options that they might not have in store. She was very thoughtful about the pros and cons of different models and styles and brands. Don’t hesitate to come yourself, but especially don’t hesitate to bring an elder family member who may need some assistance. Everyone here has been so kind and trustworthy and honest and helpful. It makes me feel so happy that there are still shops like this, Where people really care. Thank you, Esmeralda for your kindness and your patience and your help. My mom's transport chair broke during a flight. On short notice they were able to rent me a wheelchair for my mom to use while visiting the DMV. I appreciate that there was someone on the phone who could confirm they had a wheelchair in stock before I made the drive out there. When I got to the store, the staff was attentive to the questions I had and processed the paperwork quickly. And when I had to extend the rental, it was just a quick phone call. Thank you!
We just went to this store to pick up a walker/rollator for my mom that I had ordered online. Unfortunately we realized that it wouldn’t be stable enough for her. Sam was so helpful guiding us to a much better choice AND he looked up the price online, realized it was the same price as the one I’d bought online. He did an even exchange even though the price for the one we wanted was priced higher in the store. He was very helpful and kind and I highly recommend Rio’s Medical Supply in Falls Church!
Exceptional customer service and high quality, fully assembled medical supplies! When I sprained my left ankle and broke my left foot, I needed a fully assembled knee scooter to help me get around. I was able to test different models in the store to find a model that worked best for my needs. I chose to purchase the Viva All Terrain Knee Scooter, which is very stable and reliable. I also added the Viva Seat Cushion, which has provided additional comfort.
Terrific experience. Patient, respectful and very knowledgeable staff. I have been looking for ortho braces for my wrist and elbow & have bought some at CVS and on Amazon. None of those fit right, and the material was cheap. Letting me try the braces on, the salesperson showed me how to fasten them correctly. They read the labels carefully to confirm the material had no latex in them. The material for both braces is high quality, and I’m very satisfied. The prices are very good—CVS’s braces are almost equal in cost, yet are inferior in quality. Thanks for meeting my needs and then some! Highly recommend!
