I worked for Right at Home. They had told me I would easily work 40hrs a week when I was hired and that they had plenty of clients. I did not work a single week for them that exceeded 25 hours. I would be scheduled for a client, getting ready to leave only to be called and told not to come last minute on multiple occasions. I had one client pass the day I was scheduled a longer shift with. Right at Home cancelled my shift right before I was heading out to leave, did not pay me for the shift, nor did they supply me with another shift that day. They will not compensate you for shifts not worked because of a client passing away the day of, client cancels on you, and other matters not at the fault of the caregiver. I feel as if I could have been paid more as well. I had multiple clients ask me how much I make an hour, when I told them how much, they all said the same thing. “You should be making much more than that with how much I’m being charged for services.” They will often send different caregivers to clients to avoid having to pay their employees overtime. The owner and director are also extremely fake. They will praise you and tell you that they are happy to have you as a part of the team, but will talk badly about you and compare you to other employees behind your back.
Right at Home provided us with outstanding in-home care services. My mother is only 66 years old, but has a neurodegenerative condition with both motor and cognitive deficiencies. The caregivers were very conscientious, caring, and professional; dealing expertly with all the activities of daily living. I always felt confident leaving my mother with them, knowing that she was in good hands. She very much enjoyed their company and looked forward to their visits. The service was very reliable. If something came up with one of the caregivers, a substitute would be found, even on short notice. Scheduling was easy and flexibility was readily accommodated. We stopped using Right at Home only because my mother transitioned to a long-term-care facility due to mobility issues. I highly recommend Right at Home for safe and compassionate in-home care services.
I worked two weeks for this company I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to accept gifts from the clients because I was never told nor did they give me a handbook that says I couldn’t…So this agency decided to hold my pay which I’m sure is against the law because I never asked the family or the client to give me anything for Christmas….The client and her son got me a 3 hundred dollar gift card and now this company is taking it out my pay which I think is wrong cause not only do they have us working 24hrs a day as a live in caregiver and getting paid for 10 hrs a day but yet we can’t leave the clients home at all and get paid 150 a day which is basically 50.00 per 8 hr shift while this company rips you and your loved ones off by charging you 12000 dollars a month and not even paying the caregivers half of that! This company is out for themselves and not for the wellbeing of your loved ones or the caregivers. This company only cares about the money they are lining their pockets with. Without the caregivers this or any other home care agency would not have a leg to stand on. Stop getting ripped off by these greedy companies and hire private caregivers that’ll work for you for way less….Stop letting these companies drain your life savings! They keep erasing my review because I’m speaking the truth!
Excellent company that is providing care for my 96 year old Mom at home. Owners really care about their business. Care givers are professional, friendly and do what is necessary to keep my Mom healthy, safe and happy. One care giver even brought in a homemade pie. Right at Home is a local business which provides great communication and service. Highly recommend!!!!
