I lived here for 18 months. Promises were not kept. Never received any housekeeping (stated two times per month). No trips. Food service of 3 meals a day were provided, yet high in sodium. Last day of October 2024, all independent living residents were given 30 day eviction notices. During our last 30 days no moving or support services were provided. Dining room was dismantled and we received box meals. Elevator service was broken for 3 consecutive days. My concerns to executive director was told we'd have to use the steps. My reply was, on the 2nd ( my apartment) was at least 2 residents in wheelchairs. Extremely insensitive and unprofessional and non responsive.

If there was a way to give this place 0 stars I absolutely would. These people pump the residents full of melatonin and sleeping agents so that the workers don’t have to be bothered. They don’t care about changing the diapers, bathing or general care. We thought that after installing the cameras that her care would improve however it only got worse. My mom has had several hospital visits since being there for dehydration, UTI’s, complications from the sleeping aids just to name a few. We spoke with the administrator as well as the DON Marquette who informed us that they would stop giving our mom the sleeping aids because they were never a part of her profile and she doesn’t want them. Nonetheless they were still giving them to her. This place needs to be shut down for elderly abuse among other things. The staff goes on break and goes to Dave’s supermarket and buys alcohol to get drunk at work and leave the patients unattended. They should never be in charge of the care of elderly people because they actually don’t care 😡
This facility is a very clean place and the rooms are homie. The food is horrible. Never serve food thats hot or warm. How do you serve food that the staff wouldn't eat. All the food is already prepared . What is on the meal ticket is not on your tray. Pray tell you ask for something else it will be a hour to get it. They don't provide the plate heating tray to keep the food warm . You never no who your Aide is going to be. When you want to get washed up, why do the aide have to walk back and forth from the bathroom to the bed and by that time the water is cold. There is some nurses that will help you don't see until they pass out pills. That's why I choose to stay home with home care agencies. I don't feel why should give up my money to be mistreated.
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding the poor care provided at this senior facility. Despite initial reservations about sharing a negative review, my mother's recent hospitalization due to severe dehydration necessitates this feedback. Her decline was overlooked, with evident signs of deterioration, including uneaten meals and full drink cups. As her daughter and Healthcare Power of Attorney, I was not informed of this disturbing change in condition. The current decline in my mother's health adds another layer of complexity, as she already manages multiple challenging diagnoses. The facility's lack of attention and communication is unacceptable, and I regret placing my mother in their care.
This facility is poorly run with undertrained, underqualified staff. The most distasteful interaction I have experienced while dealing with Richmond Heights was facilitated by Jasmine. I do not want to attack one individual’s character based of what appears to be systemic failures within this care facility as a whole— so I will just say, be prepared to take copious notes, follow up relentlessly and overlook the hostile attitudes you will ultimately face if you have the misfortune to have a loved one in their care. They will make it incredibly difficult and you will live in a constant state of stress. I would highly recommend choosing a facility elsewhere!!!
