We have lived here over 5 years and we plan on staying here forever. The Management staff is wonderful and truly care about you. The activities offered are so nice and have good turnouts. We are still very busy people and love that we can come home to a quiet and relaxing home. I personally conduct a non-sectarian Bible Study on Thursdays here at the Retreat. We have good turnouts. A great place to live for Active Seniors.

We recently moved out my mom from this place and when were trying to get our deposit back thats when you know they have no intention of returning it because they will find every excuse or something wrong so they wont return your deposit. My recommend if you decided to stay here save all your statement because by the end of your moving out they will try to say you never pay. Especially your monthly sewer and waste. To top it off for the last 6 months my mom was staying there her apartment had bug infested that we have to call them 3 times and they keep saying they treated but never did and elevator was broken a lot which we feell bad for a lot of senior that live on the 4th floor.
We love it here at the Retreat! Our dog loves it too! Any maintenance issues are resolved all most immediately, We especially love the large pool, hot tub, and picnic area. I really like watching the lawn maintenance crew as they keep the ground in good order. It’s the retired life😍
UPDATE to below: All happens for a reason. This made Mom be willing to look at different properties. She found an amazing place that is full of light and brings her pure joy. We love it! Silver linings! This is not in reference to the actual property but as a notice to those interested in living here. By the way, this is the first bad review I have ever left or felt the need to share so publicly. My heart hurts for my Mom who looked forward to this style of living. Since my Dad passed away, this was one thing she seemed excited about as this location is directly behind our home. Lesa in the office provided a wonderful tour and we thought this would be ideal. Mom's house is being sold and as we know, this is never a done deal until closing is complete. Regardless of this, we realized only one unit was within her desired price range and would need to start the process. From the minute we indicated this, the push was on. We understand applying and paying a deposit -- which all was done (with full pressure there to get done in 24 hours). I moved my schedule around for work, got the application done and brought my Mom in. The property's application states that it could take up to 7 days for approval and then we have 3 days to sign the lease. Well, they approved right away and sent the lease at 4:30 PM on Friday (the same day). First thing Monday, I was receiving texts that the lease would expire. Mind you, this is a legally binding contract of 20 pages to review. Jeannie (the representative) kept saying I had 48 hours from the time the lease was created to sign. I am a working Mom that is also trying to help my recently widowed Mom as she is 81. There was no grace or kindness in the communication. The only personal concern we wanted to review on the lease was the penalty if anything fell through on the house being sold. All was clear there but after this experience with Jeannie, we no longer felt the warm fuzzy feeling we did with Lesa. And why the pressure when we full on paid an application fee of $250 that we would lose. Jeannie's repeated reminder that there were two other people interested was not necessary plus does not make a potential new resident feel welcome. Again, sad - as we had great interaction with residents and each of us were excited for my Mom to live there. I am confused how it went sideways before 72 hours even passed.
After five years, we are still delighted to be at the Retreat at Wylie. Good neighbors, good activities and good management.
