I am writing to recognize Mary Brooks-Green, the Community Relations Director at the Renaissance on Peachtree. How many of us have a loved one or know someone who really needs to be in a community with more support but refuses to really consider moving? That was our situation with a family friend. Mary was amazing in facilitating productive discussions between my husband and me with our beloved friend. She instinctively understands aging populations, has an uncanny talent for “finding the yes,” and thinks outside of the box to move individuals along in their decision-making process. We are so grateful for her patience and unflappable assistance in helping our friend to find a home at the Renaissance on Peachtree.

My mom moved in several months ago and her quality of care from the staff and Letitia have been beyond my expectations. The staff feels very much like an extended family and the care and emotional support they offer in addition to all physical care is beautiful and I truly can’t thank them enough.
Leadership is very toxic !!! No integrity... Okay at first I wasn't going to go there and air out all the dirty laundry but it's so ridiculous you have staff in the nursing department all going on break at one time smoking weed in the parking garage some are clocked out some are not most residents sheets haven't been changed in months you have management that sit in a office all day and tell nothing but lies a lot of these people come to work to do the bare minimum you have staff in groups in Residents rooms watching bad girls club shows on TV now everybody walking around like Billy badass that's why I'm 42 years old why would a worker in her twenties would try to run up and address me very disrespectful Showing that she's the bully of the place this place needs to be cleaned up I mean inside out horrible to the core everybody friends and family they have hired anybody stealing company time can't be trusted at all and management think there cute to sit in a office to have a title very unorganized and when you speak out that's when they try to make you the problem because they don't want to do their job they have shorted my check I'm just in disbelief on how unprofessional this place is, here I am trying to lead by an example be an example trying to get people on One Accord what these people just come to work to sit in rooms to talk be on there phones it's ridiculous and management like it that way because they get to ride the clock and do absolutely nothing they put on the biggest front I swear they need an investigation team in there because it's that horrible there!!! So to try to lie on me is insane for me to only have been working a little bit over a month all what this place got going on is a disgrace ... I'm about to report them to the state for falsifying documents and lying and neglect to the care of residents. And you got Med tech's stealing the residents narcotic medicine and put it in the system like they gave it to the resident and making a resident feel crazy to be in pain and forcing them to take Tylenol
My loved one lived at the Renaissance for 8 years, and until the current onsite management staff took over, it was a wonderful and vibrant facility. The current executive director has put a chokehold on finances, limiting needed repairs and scaling back resident activities. In dealing with family and residents, he is insincere and dismissive. Often pretending to listen to suggestions and concerns, but never implementing any meaningful changes. The marketing and sales staff advertise a variety of services that are rarely delivered. The nursing staff is short handed, and response times are exceedingly excessive, often leaving assisted living residents waiting a hour or longer for needed assistance and care. Based on our experience over the last 8 years, we would strongly recommend talking with existing residents to get their opinions and get ALL offered services in writing before making a final decision. Buyer beware!
My husband and I recently moved to the magical place that the Renaissance is; from the beautiful landscaping to the old world charm mixed with modern features, a grand lobby, spacious apartments, and gorgeous dining rooms, we feel at home and like we belong. We especially love the location, location, location and connection to all the city offers. But perhaps the staff are the most impressive. They are devoted professionals who greet us with smiles, attentiveness and the assurance that demonstrates genuine care. I would add that we've met some residents that will become friends for life and the food is excellent! Coming all the way from the Midwest, we feel blessed to have landed here!!
