Walking into this facility was a dream compared to the other facilities that I have visited in Ohio in the last week. I am from Oregon and my dad resides in Ohio. He’s got dementia and to know that there are three levels of care in this facility was comforting. Not only aesthetically was the facility amazing but the staff (Anne, Cheryl, & Kim) or informative, helpful, loving understanding, and made the decision for me to move him in more confident calm situation that I know my dad will be cared for by a staff who is happy, appearing to like their jobs. I have nothing but good things to say about this facility Even spoke to somebody walking out and asked them how they liked the care that their loved one was getting. They also said that they specifically moved their loved one into this facility from a with the same diagnosis that my father has. Five stars for sure….. Sincerely,, Oregon. 7/25/2023

I am so impressed with this facility. They are first class and the staff is beyond caring. From the activities, to the food, to the surroundings, it is top of the line. I am amazed at the dedication from the Owners/Directors to make certain that everyone is served with the highest respect in mind. And... kudos to their "fun-filled" Social Media department that keeps the public aware of all they do. An amazing home for our seniors!
I met some of the nicest, supportive, caring, caregivers/staff, who ever existed, however, they were often challenged by short staffing issues, especially the weekends and these amazing people, who were trying so hard, were just spread too thin. I recommend to inquire heavily on what State standards mean to this facility, I didn’t really understand the difference between assisted living and a skilled nursing facility but was assured during my interview, my loved one would be thought of intentionally through her aging process (she arrived at the facility on hospice).Upon video review, at the end of my day, I watched my loved one, on several occasions , lay in her bed , during the day, for 6-7 hours without a mere check in. My loved one was completely dependent for care and uncommunicative and I asked at bare minimum if music could be played or if she could be set up to watch TV but unless she was up for meals, I typically walked in to her just staring at the ceiling. There were ongoing disagreements about what the facility and what hospice should provide for my loved one, resulting in no care at all. I recommend having a camera installed for your love one, so you can be aware of how the facility provides care. I am grateful I was finally able to bring my Mom home to provide dignity, compassion and peace for the final part of her journey. Perhaps there is not a facility which could provide this for our elders and as a society, we should expect more. I tried to get an exit meeting with the director but it became very apparent the only thing he was interested in was the final payment.
I had the opportunity to spend time at The Renaissance of Richfield/Bath this past Sunday and loved my time there. While I am a proud team member of the other community that the owners of The Renaissance of Richfield/Bath own- I was so blessed to have had time at this community. The community is absolutely beautiful and the first thing I noticed was how clean the community was and how fresh it smelled. All hands were on deck- the executive director and director of nursing were onsite providing hands on care for the residents (that is NOT something you see other places). I enjoyed spending my time in their memory care- the residents were all happy and well taken care of. They were all gathered in the living room listening to hymns and singing- it was so sweet. The team there has SO much heart! The community layout is awesome, and I LOVE how it looks like a little town when you walk in. In this industry- finding people who are passionate about what they do and the care they provide is sometimes hard to find- but it can absolutely be found at The Renaissance.
I attended one of their Alzheimer’s Family Support Groups. This is a beautiful facility. The support group was well facilitated and it was very helpful. The Executive Director, Kim, gave us a tour of the facility afterwards and I was amazed at all the amenities, the cleanliness, and the attentiveness of the staff. I also heard mention of the amazing chef and the quality of the meals that he prepares. I would highly recommend this place for your loved ones.
