I was speaking with Valerie at the front desk. She put the phone down, stepped away from the phone kept me there for three minutes without even advising where she was going or what she was doing or telling me to hold meanwhile, having a conversation with someone else and then trying to correct me on what proper Customer Care is And she started raising her voice at me very unprofessional extremely undesirable and I would not recommend anybody to have a loved one there if you try to contact them on the weekend, you’re gonna have problems I promise
My mother-in-law was staying at this facility and Isabella with admissions did a great job translating for her to ensure she understood everything about her treatment and insurance.
Understaffed and unable to care foe people who can't control their bodily waste. It's a tough job caring for adults who need care, I know this. But why are there no wash stations? My father is lying in his own filth and is supposed to be under hospice care via Accent Care.
UPDATE! My Mum is now 88 years old and had to return to Regents Park for more therapy. I went to be with her every morning before 7am for almost three months. Coming back to this facility was actually quite concerning but pleasant for most of her stay. Special thanks for welcoming us so lovingly. We'd like to thank Maddie, Michelle, Winnie, Belinda, Miss Peggy, Rivka, Miss Nancy. Continued thanks to the 3rd floor East gang including Annika, Vasti, Miss Myrna, Carmella, Emmanuel, Alexis. Thanks also to the therapy department. There are so many more good caring people and if I missed anyone, please know we are appreciative of you, too. My only constructive criticism is reserved for the night staff (one staff member slept in a chair in my Mum's private room three nights in a row! Not cool. Lack of personel on weekends is troublesome. These two areas need revision. Other than that, Regents Park is a great facility for your elderly parent. My 87 year old mother spent more than two months at Regents Park Aventura. I went there every single day to be with her in the mornings after 8am and stayed with her until after her lunch. The administration personnel as well as the morning staff including maintenance, CNA's, nurses, floor supervisor and charge nurse are all consummate professionals and made certain my mother's needs were met with care and timeliness. The therapy department personnel were also magnificent and got my Mum up and running again! The Dietary Director & kitchen personnel made great efforts to provide better food when prompted. One must have family around to ensure certain things as the staff has many patients to maintain. This is a reality and one must have patience on occasion. I came to know and adore just about all of the people, including some patients on the 2nd floor West wing. I applaud just about everyone there and cannot express enough my enduring gratitude for all of the help my Mother received. To be quite honest, there were times, especially at night when I had to return to the facility to resolve very difficult issues with the night staff. I did not appreciate having to come back at night to calm my mother down from certain interactions with the night staff. Overall, Regents Park is the best facility for your aging parents. With sincere respect, Richard D. Ruttenberg
