I recently spoke with a dear friend of over fifty years who happened to be a Regency at Livonia resident at the time. I have no doubt that she has been quite pleased to have such a conscientious staff of professionals providing for her every need, and with her best interests at heart. She said of her experience: “During my stay with Regency at Livonia Nursing Home the Activity Director treated me with such kindness and care. She always greeted me with a warm smile and made sure I had everything I needed to stay engaged. Her thoughtfulness truly made a difference in my recovery experience.”

I had a great experience when I came to visit. It was very clean, organized, and they were very professional. I was encouraged to come by when I called and asked about the facility. I believe her name was Nurse Tonya. She was very nice, informative, and very professional. Just when I almost lost faith, I found out about Regency at Livonia. Now I am confident that they will take the best care of my parents. Thank you for restoring my faith Nurse Tonya and Regency at Livonia!
If you love your loved one do not put them here!!!!!!!! This place was horrible. Nurses/aides were rude, inattentive, impossible to get to listen to you, did not communicate between shifts as to my mothers needs and in the three horrible weeks my mom was there refused to help feed her. I had to literally show a video to the upper management of myself helping her eat to convince them she actually would eat because instead of helping and taking the time to feed her I was repeatedly told she refused to eat. Also watch out for your loved one’s personal belongings- despite listening them on a sheet once you leave they don’t care and after 7 plus requests to get her belongings back they still have never responded. Also if you’re expecting an actual Dr. or staff to discuss what is occurring with family forget that to. Very unprofessional. The only time you will hear from anyone is when they are getting ready to discharge your loved one which is super early ( discharged at 3 weeks, Medicare covered 3 months) after not trying to help at all. It’s a turn and burn climate. So disgusting. Please beware
I thought my dad was gonna have a good experience at Regency as they promised, but they did not fulfill any of their obligations. They just let him lay in the bed the entire time. When the insurance money ended they gave me a two day notice and told me he was being discharged When I picked him up. They didn’t give me any medication. Didn’t tell me the name of what dialysis center he was going to. The nurses were rude in person and worse on the phone if, you had any questions. or concerns. The nurses only said “ this is an informal discharge” and she gave me the packet and told me I was free to go and she walked away. They never sent me with his medication, my dad hip was hurting where he could not bare the pain. When I got him home, his feet were very dry to where the dry skin looked like potato chips and he had bed sores. They did not take good care of my dad and I do not recommend that anybody goes there and I will attach a picture of his feel . The physical therapy and occupational therapy did not live up to their obligation. I do not recommend this horrible facility to anyone.
Taniya is someone who pours her heart into her work. In the activities department, she’s not just planning events—she’s creating meaningful moments for the residents. Her loving and caring nature stands out; residents feel seen, heard, and appreciated because of the way she connects with them. Whether it’s organizing engaging games, crafting sessions, music therapy, or simply taking time to talk and laugh with someone, she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels included and uplifted. She likely puts extra effort into tailoring activities that suit different personalities and abilities, showing she really cares about each person’s happiness and well-being. That kind of dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—it builds trust and creates a warm, positive environment that makes Regency feel like home.
