I’ve been a nurse for over 13 years. I have never been so undermined by a group of women. Agency help is needed but not appreciated. I have came across many horrible agency nurses but I’m not one of them!! To be completely honest I’m not sure it wasn’t because of my race. Quarryville do better!!!
They've taken great care of my 90 year old Mom for the last 8+ years. Thank you health care workers!
Very impressed with this nursing home. From the admission staff to the nursing staff they are top notch, caring, professional, dedicated people. Thanks for all the care given to my stepfather, Jud Gears, during his last days. I am forever grateful.
I have given QPRC a rating of "1" NOT because of their independent living apartments which are well-managed but because of the TREMENDOUS problems with infection control in their Skilled Nursing Facility, during the COVID-19 pandemic. QPRC DOES NOT enforce mask-wearing among its Skilled Nursing employees. They may "talk the talk," but I can assure you, for the past 3 months, I've witnessed MULTIPLE nursing staff with either no mask on the nose or no mask whatsoever on the face. When I asked these CNAs, LPNs, and RNs why they were not wearing masks on their noses or why they were not wearing a mask at all, I heard many excuses, such as QPRC had not supplied them with a mask that fit their facial shape or that they had determined that their nosepiece was "uncomfortable" and had therefore, removed it. The bottom line is that these direct care staff persons continued to care for my family member without properly wearing PPE on their noses and mouths. Consequently, despite complaints to a Nursing Director and Administrator, which were ignored, my elderly family member contracted COVID in QPRC's Skilled Nursing facility. Following this experience, my suggestion is this: If your elderly family member should suddenly require Skilled Nursing or Personal Care, DO NOT HESITATE to MOVE your loved one to ANOTHER Skilled Nursing Facility with an excellent reputation in the medical community. DO NOT make the mistake of assuming that just because QPRC's independent living facilities are high quality, their Skilled Nursing and Personal Care facilities are, too. For your loved one's sake, DO NOT place them into QPRC's Skilled Nursing or Personal Care home, where not all staff are vaccinated and many nursing staff simply refuse to wear PPE in the manner in which it was intended.
