My mother has been at Providence Place-Dover for 6 weeks now and so far I have been very pleased with her experience. Paul Bruno went out of the way to expedite our move in and was extremely helpful in the admittance process. Always just a phone call or text away. The care givers and nursing/wellness staff have been kind and helpful. Mom loves the activities. She is especially grateful for the amount of spiritual activities on the calendar. Thank you Chaplain Sean. One of her favorite things about the dining is the dessert cart. What a great idea. The country rides are a great way for the residents to get out of the building. Lisa is always so kind and eager to assist as well. The Connections Club has been that extra help we needed as dementia continues to progress. Jenny and Theo do a great job. Just a very good experience so far.

My mother entered Providence Place as a resident, 3 months ago. We had visited 5 different facilities in the area. As our family has a long history in Dover, this location provided my mom with an extra sense of belonging and comfort. We came to discover that there are many people here that she knows and has been friendly with, since high school. We have had excellent communication from the staff (especially nursing). Mom loves the food and enjoys the dessert cart that comes around at lunch and dinner. I have found all staff (nursing, admissions, housekeeping, reception, dining, etc) to be very friendly and kind. We attended the family holiday open house, just after mom was settled in and it was beautifully done. A fantastic keyboardist, family photos offered, great food, even some drinks! Another thing that I noticed that stands out in comparison to the other facilities, is that the lobby/reception/living area, is always well-populated. Everyone loves to say hello and the chairs by the cozy fireplace are typically filled. People are out and about and willing to interact. There are many activities offered, to keep residents engaged. I believe that we made a great decision in bringing mom to Providence Place and I believe that she is very happy here!
Providence place in Dover was a great place for my family member. While they aren’t perfect, the staff there really is compassionate and tries hard to take excellent care of the residents. There’s a lot of really good people who work there, and a lot of really sweet residents. If you have to need the services of an assisted living, Providence Place in Dover really fits the bill. I would moved a loved one back in again, if the time came when they needed it. The Campus is very clean and beautifully decorated as well.
Mom is a resident of Providence Place Dover. We have found the team at Providence Place to very professional and helpful. Mom was being discharged from Rehab and we had one week to find an assisted living facility to move her to. If not for the staff at Providence Place I do not think we would have been able to pull that off. Due to time constraints they agreed to meet with us on a Sunday morning and give us a tour. We immediately felt comfortable at Providence Place and started the process to move in. The team had everything we needed to make it happen. From recommendations where to buy furniture, to recommended movers and then the operations team to help us get the room set up for mom in the required time line. Mom has enjoyed being at Providence Place and the support she has received includes the same and concerned we felt from day one. I would recommend Providence Place to others.
Providence Place of Dover is a well-managed and resident-friendly facility. Both my parents lived there, my mother for 15 years, and both were well-taken care of. The cost compares favorably among senior living homes. Not only are the building and grounds beautifully decorated and well-maintained, the staff is professional, attentive, and responsive to the needs of the residents. I'd recommend Providence Place to anyone looking for a safe and pleasant place to live.
