Mom moved in 5 months ago. Alyssa Foor and the staff did an outstanding job facilitating her on boarding. Professional, personable and capable personnel operate the Chambersburg facility. Mom loves it and the family is very pleased with the entire program. We have recommended Providence Place to several others.
Mother only resided at Providence Place in Chambersburg for 8 short weeks. During those weeks, she was treated like a queen (her own words). The facility was always clean, fresh and well maintained. The staff, though sparse at times, were considerate, compassionate and well trained. Food was adequate with a lot of variety and individual selections if needed. The dietary staff was outstanding in their concern that she was not eating and went out of their way to try to offer something she liked. The receptionist area was always very welcoming and all three of the receptionists were outstanding. The studio apartment was spacious and had more than enough storage space. The provided furnishings were first class. One downfall was lack of communication with nursing staff and the onsite physician assistant and physician. I still give the facility and care staff and housekeeping and dietary staff a five star rating.
I have had a very welcoming start at Providence Place. Alyssa has truly helped through each step of the process. She understood my needs and supported me through my decision making. The staff has been friendly, helpful and always patience. I’m so happy here.
First off they had their staff write a bunch of these positive reviews. This place is dangerous because they are so good at making it look “so good”. This place is not what it seems it’s short staffed and residents are neglected. The memory care unit is full. There are often residents who need more memory care sitting alone in random places throughout the building confused and lost and dirty it’s truly heartbreaking . Upper management doesn’t hold management responsible for their team and backs up their managers no matter what even if they are wrong. It’s a mean girls club if you’re in your in if not good luck. Upper management is condescending and belittling to staff who raise concerns. I deeply regret sending my mother here.
