One of the most difficult decisions for a caretaker is transitioning a loved one from home into a facility. We feel blessed that we found Providence House, a hidden gem in Brighton, for our loved one. It’s a small enough community to feel like family. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and spacious, be it a one bedroom assisted living unit or a studio in the memory care unit, and the food is better than good. There is great space for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are available daily. Moreover, the administrative team and staff are caring and responsive to the individual needs of each resident. After ten months, we remain pleased with our decision to become a part of the Providence House community.

This facility is not how it appears: elder abuse and poor treatment. Communication is essentially non-existent. Does not live by their mission statement whatsoever as disrespect toward residents is rampant and discomfort is ignored. Activities rarely happen if at all, leaving residents with little to no enrichment. An excellent alternative is Mary Ann Morse Long Term Care in Natick, where my grandmother was able to live out her final years with dignity and love.
absolutely amazing, staff is caring and attentive and the communication is better than I have experienced at other assisted living communities. D'Evereux was a true blessing when finding a new home for my parents. following up and kindness has been a blessing.
My mother’s assisted living was closing so she needed somewhere else to go; after looking at many assisted living facilities in and around Boston, The Providence House was hands down the nicest. Not only is everything neat and clean but they are also renovating the common areas too. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating all the paper work and state agencies pertaining to my mom’s situation. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my mother had a nice place to live. She has been there 2 weeks now, and continues to rave about how nice everyone is and the quality of the food! Thank you Providence House; we couldn’t have had a better experience!
Providence House is more than your average Assisted Living facility. They also have a unit specifically catered for seniors with Alzheimer's and/or Dementia. My father was in the Traditional Assisted Living side for 2 yrs within Providence House. The facility is clean. The staff are nice and professional. I've never had any issues with them. They keep the residents active. They make sure the residents are well kept & groomed. They have a mini spa & beauty shop for the residents as well. There is a nice TV area, and more. The food is better than most Assisted Living Communities in the Boston Area. I've visited quite a few before choosing Providence House. Now that my father's condition has gotten worse, I'm thankful for the Memory Unit (Beechwood) on site. The residents receive the same care, but with more supervision. I recommend Providence House for anyone looking for an Assisted Living facility for their loved one. Edit: After my Father caught COVID and was transferred to LTC some of his things were stolen. I brought my issues forth & nothing. Even sent a picture of him trying on his new Columbia winter coat, which was also taken by one of their staff. Be mindful of your loved one's property while they're in the care of other's.
