The recent fires in Stillwater were scary for everyone in the area. When Primrose was given the order to evacuate the staff went into high gear and were able to get everyone to safety. The director was able to secure temporary housing in a nice nursing center in Shawnee so the Primrose residents could rest, get food and have care. Primrose staff drove to this facility, over an hour away, to be with the residents and care for them. Arrangements were made to acquire new medications for the residents and were delivered to the temporary facility within hours of the residents arrival. It was amazing how quickly all the logistics were put in place. Once cleared, the residents were able to return to Primrose the next afternoon with transportation provided by Primrose. For an emergency like this, it was so impressive how the staff was able to keep a cool head and take care of the residents when the residents were scared and unsure of what to expect. Thank you to all the staff and the director for caring for family and for a job well done!!!

Our experience with Primrose has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, Branna and Alyssa have been incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly not just in the initial stages of the move-in, but every day since. They have truly made a difference in my mother’s transition and ongoing experience. One thing that really stands out is how they take the time to share photos of my mom enjoying activities with the other residents or having special guests. It’s such a thoughtful touch that makes us feel connected, even when we can’t be there in person. Their communication is always prompt, and whenever I have a concern or question, they respond quickly and take care of it right away—sometimes going far above and beyond standard expectations. The nursing staff has been equally attentive and compassionate, always ensuring that my mom receives the best care. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, offering so many opportunities for residents to stay engaged and active. Overall, the team at Primrose has made what could have been a difficult transition incredibly easy. I am so grateful for the wonderful care my mom is receiving here and the kindness and dedication of everyone on staff. I highly recommend Primrose to anyone looking for a supportive and caring assisted living environment.
On Friday, March 14th, I was in Stillwater, Ok, visiting a Down Syndrome man who I'm guardian for who lives in Primrose Retirement Community. Having driven in from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where I live, I had reserved a guest room there at the facility. Friday morning, there were High Wind warnings posted for the state of Oklahoma. Around 3:00 Friday afternoon, the police and fire department gave notice our area of Stillwater was to be evacuated to the Stillwater Senior Center due to approaching wildfires. I took my friend in my car as the staff loaded residents into vans for transporting to the Senior Center. Primrose also called residents family and friends if they wanted to come get them to move them to safety for the night. For the situation, with heavy blowing dust and black smoke filling the air, the Primrose staff did an outstanding job in moving the residents to the safety of the Senior Center. At Senior Center, the staff worked with the residents to keep them calm and reassured that they were safe. Staff provided snacks and peanut butter sandwiches so no one went hungry or without medications. Around 8:00, residents were transported to a Primrose facility in Shawnee (approximately 60 miles south) to be safe and comfortable for the night. On Saturday, the residents were transported back to Stillwater after the police and fire department had give the "all clear" . Primrose's Director and staff did an Outstanding Job in providing for the safety and security of the residents--regardless of individual needs or conditions. Well Done! thanks for keeping all safe and secure. Bob--Guardian for a Primrose resident
As a third party provider, I absolutely love attending primrose events and activities. Their staff are absolutely amazing and truly aim to provide the best care to their residents. The residents are also so incredibly kind and welcoming to everyone and anyone who stops by. You can feel the love when you walk in the door!!
I want to express how thoughtful and caring the staff of Primrose was to our family during a time of great need. Alissa and Tina were exceptional and we couldn't be more grateful. I would highly recommend this community for your loved one.
