The hardest thing to do is watch your parents age. Sometimes the best thing you can do is allow them as much independence as possible. Prairie winds is incredible place. The facility is always clean, the staff is like a big family. You can’t go wrong with how caring and willing this place is to help keep your loved one independent as long as possible.

I feel that it's a good place to work, but it could be great. It's not the job, it's more like the people working here. Too many people bringing personal problems to work. Management needs to work together, other than distancing themselves from each other. I strongly feel that we need competitive pay with other facilities in town. We are at the bottom of the pay scale
I'm excited to see that residents participate in fun activities at Prairie Winds of Urbana such music events, cook outs, crafts, and Bingo. One resident has been planting flowers outdoors for all residents, employees, and visitors to enjoy. Another resident leads a weekly exercise group, and two others lead a weekly church service with live music. Today four residents worked together to form an assembly line and made 110 red, white, and blue ribbons for the Memorial Day Program. Fun, fun, fun!! I love seeing their smiling faces.
I visit a resident there. She tells me how the food has lately been very yummy. She loves the variety of soups.
A place where love is a mission value and evident in the care all the staff provide!
