I would not recommend this facility if your loved one needs long term care and has health issues. Even when alerted to changes and a decline in health, they dismissed our concerns. They prefer you to use the facility’s doctor/PA but those providers are rarely on site and even when the matter is urgent, they waited days to see our loved one and when they finally did, they misdiagnosed our family member. By the time we realized our loved one needed to see their general practitioner outside the facility, it was too late. The staff is dismissive, reactive rather than proactive, and the staff turnover makes it impossible to get consistent, compassionate and quality care. Complaining only resulted in our loved one receiving less care. The nice facility does not make up for the questionable care. If I could have given Prairie Vista Village zero stars, I would have.

I was so impressed with both the independent and assisted living. The apartments are set up perfect in both areas. The place is very clean. There are so many fun activities for the residents to do. I really like that church services are available. Robin was very informative and was able to answer all our questions. The brochures give you all the information you would need. I didn’t see anything that made me uncomfortable about having my parents live there.
John was very nice to show us the property at our quick request. The building is very nice, clean and well maintained inside and out. The campus is in a very quite area. Just a little bit long waiting list for independent living for us.
We met with Allison to have a tour of Prairie Vista Village last Tuesday. She was a pleasant young lady as was the receptionist who greeted us with a smile and called for Allison. In less than an hour we saw all the areas including a room that should allow my Mother to feel at home. A friendly patient coming into the hallway from the exercise room told us that we could rest assured that we would find PVV easy to get around and that the staff is always helpful. Allison answered our questions regarding the dining facility, medical care, exercise, and activities. I am completing the paperwork to place Mom on the waiting list. Gregg Lynes
I had the privilege to meet director John Freeman and it was very evident that he genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents. I would highly recommend.
