Those pictures are deceiving. I see they did not include pictures of where the patients spend most of their days sitting, eating and doing activities. I don't think it's fair to treat Dementia patients any type of way just because they don't understand their surroundings. But I would not dare sit in any of those chairs again. I made that mistake and drove all the way home disgusted. My but was wet and i dont know from what but i do know it was from a chair. From my understanding those rooms have not been renovated in at least 15 years. Why have fabric chairs when you know patients are capable of doing their business in them. WHy not have leather or pleather something that can be wiped down and sanitized. This place was good when my mom first got there but it's going ALL THE WAY DOWN. I pray daily that I can find a way to get my mom home without me having to stop working. But this is what happens when you don't have family support and you are left having to put your love one in facilities that the people who own them, don't care, but only about the money. I can go on and on with so many other topics about this place. It would take several more pages.send your love one someplace else.

No hot water again. Less than a year and this is the 3rd time. Patients cannot shower wash up. Medicare pays on time patients suffer. When an issue happens repeatedly it shows poor management. Maintaince contracts should be in place proactively prevention a situation like this. There are over 200+ residents affected. Oh and there was no communication on this issue either.
Warning, warning, warning The staff was ok.if you call to check on your love one after 500 pm no one puts up the phone. My family member had bad bed sores that was not there when my family got to prairie sores on his faces something was wrong with my family member arm. My family member die at this place. Just because the places is clean do not mean that your love on is being taking care of I would not let my Dog go in to this place.
I left the hospital for rehab after being diagnosed with cancer. The food was almost inedible. The staff largely ignored me altho a few were nice. I felt sorry for my roommate who was there for long term care. She bought chips and candy for the staff and they were nice to her. My oxygen machine stopped working one evening and I rang the bell for a nurse. They didn't respond in over 30 minutes and so I picked up the phone and called the front desk. They were upset with me, that I would call the front desk but I was afraid of not having my oxygen.
I would caution those who plan to admit a loved one who cannot speak, walk, or defend himself or herself, because he or she may be on his or her own for hours, while in his or her room. I personally witnessed someone who is not an employee or affiliated with this place of business, walking into patient rooms trying to acquire signatures for some type of Democratic petition... so he said, when I questioned him. Aside from a nurse, CNA, or another staff member coming to check the room, the only means of contacting someone is the red push button that is attached to the bed.. God forbids if it should fall to the side of the bed or not be within hands reach. Moreover, if your loved one isn't able to physically use the restroom, he or she may be sitting in a soiled diaper until someone comes to check. This may unfortunately be for an extended period of time, due to the amount of staff available. I made it a point to put on some gloves, and do a lot myself. I believe doing so made the staff a bit more responsive to when I needed something. The staff is pretty nice. They're no different from any other place of business. You will encounter those who have a great attitude and disposition, and then there are a few who give off the impression that you asking a question is the last thing he or she has time to deal with. I would advise any family member of loved one to make your presence known when you visit, so that staff members get familiar with you. The food is fairly decent. Additionally, they offer mechanical and even purée food options. Often there is popped popcorn in bags for those who want some. Their physical therapy (PT) room isn't like The Chicago Bears training facility, but it is a really nice size and has more than enough room for lots of patients at the same time. Additionally, the PT staff is extremely professional. I was shocked at how nice, but assertive, they are. I will say that linen department is lacking. On more than one occasion I had to ask for towels and a gown. Because they are short-staffed, we had no choice but to wait for hours. The rooms are livable. The furniture is from the late 80's early 90's, but the staff does a good job of thoroughly cleaning the room. On many days I was there to observe this. If I had to do this all over again, I would NOT have placed my loved one here. Had I made more time to visit other places, I would have to chosen Windsor Estates Nursing and Rehabilitation.
