As a visitor to this place, and a disabled person, with a disabled spouse, I find the front desk to be rude and uncaring. Guests are required to park on the side of the building, and go to front entrance, to sign in before 4pm. The bushes over hang the sidewalk, and are not passable by me using a walker, and my husband in a wheelchair. The front desk said just drop your husband at the front door, and park. I explained that’s fine, but I still have to park the car, and make it to the front door. They said just walk out and around the through the park lot, which takes extra steps and I explained walking is painful, and going through the parking lot isn’t very safe. Their attitude is oh well. Also I have tried numerous times to reach the nursing station on the phone, and no ever answers. It doesn’t matter the time of day or night and how many times in a row. The last time I had someone call my phone and leave a message about my family member falling, and asking me to call back. I called back less than 5 minutes from receiving the message,? and could never reach anyone. Just a very uncaring, unprofessional place.

Disappointing to say the least. The staff were responsive and helpful for the most part but I know they were overworked. I was hopeful with the interaction with the staff, getting updates, etc. but I messaged the DON via text to see how my mom was doing the day before I received a call from the facility telling me she passed. The DON didn't respond. No one ever reached out regarding her passing. We were also a private pay, meaning we were paying directly for my mothers care. We found out 6 weeks in that the facility was also billing medicare for my mothers care and we were paying them at the same time. We are still waiting to be reimbursed and a statement of charges and payments. Be very aware if you send a loved one there Here is a text from the DON word for word. “🤔 well I find it very interesting that you would text my phone at damn near midnight how long after her passing???? Secondly I know for a fact that you and your father was updated by nurse Brandi and I know that to be fact due to her receiving a complement from you at how compassionate she was when she informed you all and that came from a corporate nurse who apparently you know her niece who is a med transport or EMT for our facility. I went above and beyond to keep you updated on your mother’s progress and decline EVERY step of the way….i apologize that I couldn’t act as your concierge but I have 100 other patients and family members to help as well! I’m am sorry for your loss and I hope that you find peace, but please don’t text my PERSONAL phone at those hours with negativity. Be blessed” Unreal. So disrespectful after the loss of a loved one. I would never recommend this facility.
It is not a place to go to. Some of the staff was friendly, a few of the staff member were as well I was there 100 days and nothing physical therapy falled me, he never tried thing he should had. The food was unlookable I can’t say how it tast because I had door dashed the entire time I was very shocked at how this facilities were. To me I would not recommend them to this facility.
Stop ! Turn around & go the other way... If you needed some type of sign or warning if this is the job for you this is definitely your first sign... In fact you'll receiving two signs before you even start the job. Because if you've already been to your interview for a leadership position I'm sure they've already informed you that this is a tough building. So they definitely give you the heads up. You won't be blindsided when you come in.If you can avoid coming to this building. please do! Working in this building was one of the worst jobs that I've had ever IN MY LIFE... The building staff is 95% African-American females so that kind of gives you an idea of the culture of the building.... When you are working in leadership here it's easy for the nurses to get you fired . If they can't have their way they'll lie, team up, and do whatever they have to do to get the job done. It's a reason why the leadership positions here are always open.... ADON- been open for the last 6 months.... All of the DON positions are interim. HR ppl have no power & the nurses will get away with talking to you any type of way... Administrators don't last long at all... In fact, one of the administrators a while ago didn't last not even one week.... Don't trust that BOM (keema moore aka Kakima Moore) ... She thrives off drama but she plays it off well.... She'll come to you and tell you what people have to say often... She's real cool with everybody to their face.... But she gets on the phone at home and talks about people like a dog..... If you're in leadership She'll always come to you on the side and tell you which nurses are late when shes the MOD and which time adjustments you shouldnt sign/ validate but those are the same people that she's supposed to be real cool with to their face.... She's well in tune with the drama going on in the facility. But she'll try to play it cool like she's so soft spoken . Don't let the helpful deposition fool you sometimes people will try to act like they're helpful just so they can know what's going on so they can go back & tell the next person. She says a lot of stuff under her breath and if you're not quick on your feet you won't catch it....She'll try to befriend you and try to act like she's there to help but the whole time all she does is stir the pot....Steer clear of her if you can... Unit managers have bad juju on the turnover... Meaning, usually when one leaves another one leaves not even a week later. Because think about it when one unit manager leaves the other one basically has to fill in for both positions until they hire somebody else. The nurses usually run those people brazy and they end up quitting... If they can't have their way they'll corner you in the hallway and if you don't give them what they want they'll act like you said something to them out the way ....They know what to do to get people out the chair... Essentially if you can avoid coming here do it ....look at another location try to avoid the p-town location.... Don't put yourself through a traumatic experience... you like drama ?? this will be the place for you ....you want a day where it's constantly something going on ?? Then this is the place for you.... you don't like a whole bunch of chaos going on to the point where you can't even get stuff done sometimes??? then don't do it... Always remember, in environments like this corporate and the administrator are going to side with the nurses no matter what ....They can be wrong as 2 left shoes ... But they're going to side with the nurses... Think of it this way, they need the nurses more than they need us... It's easy for them to always find another leadership person...But they can't run the building without nurses ....The nurses take care of the patients....You must be able to bend in this building big time ....Not even just a little bit .....You have to bend a lot!
They can't keep nobody because the staff runs the building... they team up on ppl when they can't have their way... the unit managers leave left and right... the last 2 unit managers both started in November 24 and they were both gone in December... you literally have to be a mean girl to fit In with these girls.if you're In Leadership & u don't let them have their way they'll keep calling the hotline on u to get you out the door.... Administrators don't last longer than 6 months.. it's a big high school just the adult version
