I dared not leave a review when this facility was under the Vitality Senior Living name brand, it was an out of control dumpster fire...SRI Management took over Mid-Summer 2024 and finally brought stability to a drowning ship. These folks spent many an hour talking to residents and their families asking us to give them time and trust to right the situation. Katy, the Executive Director, has been on site since the transition...she has been attentive and engaged with residents and their families, focused on hiring the right people, and working daily to make this community a place my mom can live a quality life with friends and staff that have become her family. The Director of Resident Services, Ashley, has been another hire that gets things done...information gets efficiently disseminated to the community (Nurse Practitioner Weekly Visits, On-Site Physical Therapy and now, mental health care). These were things we haven't seen before, things we needed to know. The staff in Assisted Living are absolutely wonderful...they have gotten to know my mom very well and continue to be supportive and uplifting to her on a daily basis...even when her behavior can be challenging. Kim, the Activities Director has these folks moving and grooving...she spends time with them to make sure their needs are being met and they have activities that are stimulating and enjoyable. The maintenance staff, for us, has always been attentive and reliable...things happen, and Will and Duante work hard to get things resolved. The last 2.5 years have been a challenge for my mother and our family...we have seen the worst of senior living and are now finally experience the best of it. I hope Pioneer is able to hold on to the group of folks they have assembled at this time...it is finally becoming a fully functioning entity and I know this business is not an easy one to be a part of. Thank you to Katy and her staff for taking this community and turning it around into a positive experience for all. I have attached photos of my mother's assisted living apartment...for one person it is spacious enough without being overwhelming for her...this was always a beautiful and well designed and decorated building...it is light and bright and there are several areas for residents to co-mingle and sit and relax without having to be in their rooms all the time. Two lovely dining rooms and meals are nutritious, varied, and tasty. To be honest, this was a review I never saw myself making...way to go SRI. (SuzanneG)

I attended a Porsche Club Car show at this community. I had the opportunity to tour and see the site and amenities offered. What an amazing place!!! They have villas with a garage attached. I think those were 1500 to 2000 square feet. The main building looks like an upscale hotel and the amenities offered are very impressive. They have a theater, a full gym, full service restaurant, salon and spa and more. I was able to talk with several of the residents that live there and they seemed very happy. I would certainly recommend to anyone 55 and up to go check it out for yourself!
I visited their grand re-opening recently. Basically an open house after new management took over. The place is beautiful and the apartments were more spacious and nicer than expected. The dining room is very nice and they talk a lot about their focus on good food and proper nutrition. It does have a feel of a nice hotel. I was looking for a parent and would have no problem if they moved in here.
My mother moved to Vitality/Pioneer Senior Living at Upland Park a few months ago. Her 1-bedroom unit is spacious, with plenty of natural light, and conveniently located in the complex. They offer a wide variety of activities and services. The staff has been wonderful introducing my mother to the other residents and helping her acclimate to her new home. The food offered in the dining rooms has improved and the staff makes sure my mother has what she needs. Pioneer has recently had a change in management and there seems to be a renewed spirit of community. This has truly been a great option for my mother upon moving back to the Huntsville area. I am grateful we found Vitality/Pioneer.
