I am thrilled and honored to become a part of such a prestigious organization. Experiencing the Phoebe culture has been truly extraordinary.

Great, nice and clean nursing facility. Residents there are kind, nice and loving, workers there are very professional and attend to Residents needs on time. The most thing that made my hear open when I was at the facility to work was that, Residents had all the requirements nursing equipment and care needs. The residents rooms were very clean and well kept. I will recommend this facility to anyone that want to have their love one stay there.
A health administrator called my mother’s neighbors and told them not to help her get the paper, take out the trash, or do any errand like run to the store or drugstore for her whatsoever. Her neighbors are very kind and help her voluntarily since she was widowed. She is over 90 years old and appreciates the kindness, friendship and support of her neighbors. This is supposed to be a Christian based housing facility for seniors. What religion tells neighbors not to help their friend? My mother’s neighbors came to her to tell her about the phone calls they received and were extremely upset. This is obviously a money grab. This Phoebe administrator wants my mother out of her cottage so that it can be resold at a higher price. My parents purchased their cottage for over 400k, yet still have a “fee” of over 2k per month. And this is how she is treated?? She pays it all out of her own pocket. I am sickened by the lack of compassion and empathy this individual has for my mother. What a terrible example to set when you are supposed to be helping seniors and making their life easier. My mother is terrified she will have to move. If I could give Phoebe a 0 I absolutely would.
In January 2018, my 90-year-old father went into the Reading Hospital and we anticipated that he would go directly to Phoebe to live out his days there, so we reserved a room. He died I the hospital and the caring folks there said it would be unlikely that we would be charged for reserving the room. I was confident that this caring, church-supported organization would follow through on that. WRONG. Two months later I received a bill for $522. To their credit (which happened a few days later and after this review) they informed me that we would not have to pay.
If I could produce a lower than 1 star review I would. Not only are staff not willing to work with you completely disorganized and not sure who is actually running the place. As a contractor that hasn't been paid a dime on a job completed at this location after many tries. I just felt that I had to post this to fair warn any others who may be in the same predicament.
