"A beacon of vocation – if you don't value fair pay, development opportunities, and professional communication" I recently had the opportunity to gain a deep insight into the Park Residenz Dortmund – a place where nursing is apparently not just a profession, but a kind of religious commitment. Even during the interview, it was made very clear to me: This isn't just a job; it's a calling. And anyone who dares to think about salary, bonuses, or even professional development clearly hasn't fully understood the philosophy of the facility. With a remarkable mixture of patronizing and clairvoyant, my politely worded inquiry about capital-forming benefits, travel expense reimbursement, and night shift bonuses was met with a frown – as if I'd asked if they secretly stored gold bars under the nursing bed. The response was something like: "Too materialistic. You don't seem interested in our residents." – Aha. Apparently, professional care and the desire for fair pay are mutually exclusive in this facility. Good to know. My mistake. Particularly inspiring was the explanation that continuing education for permanent night watchmen would be difficult. I had previously believed that every facility would have an interest in qualified, thoughtful staff – but apparently, the emphasis here is more on quiet presence in the dark. Innovative. But it gets even better: Anyone wanting to find out more about the facility will find consistently glowing 5-star reviews on Google – including from Managing Director Heike K. Kopperschläger and facility manager Alexander Kopperschläger himself. If that isn't transparency! Such courage to self-assess is rare – and of course, it also saves the effort of waiting for actual feedback. Particularly noteworthy is the statement that "no urine odor could be detected." What a quality feature! Perhaps in the future, the website could say: "It smells (mostly) good here." Critical voices? Of course, there are a few – but don't worry, they are politely and formally dismissed. With a bit of luck, you'll even get a note like, "We'd like to improve. You can reach us by phone or email." A prime example of a modern feedback culture. In summary, my impression: If you're looking for an institution where "vocation" is used as a knock-down argument against any factual question, where self-evident rights like salary bonuses are met with moral indignation, and where self-praise apparently serves as a substitute for genuine recognition – you've come to the right place. If, on the other hand, you believe that nurses have a right to fair conditions, open communication, and professional development, perhaps you should address your application to another century. Because at Park Residenz, they still seem to firmly believe that commitment works best when it costs nothing – and that the biggest problem in nursing isn't the shortage of skilled workers, but rather too many people with expectations. Best regards

A huge thank you to the Parkresidenz team! My grandma received excellent care here. Everyone is always willing to listen to questions, concerns, or requests. My grandma was first on Ward 1 and later on Ward 2. We thank you for their care. A big compliment also goes to the administration and social services. They arranged walks, mental exercises, crocheting, and much more. At the beginning, the ladies were there to help and advise us when it came to bureaucratic challenges. The food there also comes from their own kitchen and not from a delivery service. And it's delicious, too. Anyone who still has something to complain about at this facility should take a look at the many already run-down facilities in Dortmund. I would like to end with... THANK YOU and just stay the way you are, ALL of you. It was always clean, and the friendly colors made life easier for us and Grandma.
My mother has lived in the Park Residenz nursing home for almost 2 years. I am very satisfied with the competent, friendly staff and am firmly convinced that my mother is in very good hands there. I can sleep peacefully because I know my mother is doing very well thanks to the loving staff. I greet you warmly and keep it up 👍🩷👍.
I think it's a shame that the people who work there are pushing the reviews up. That's not the point of Google reviews...
The Park Residence is a place where I want to be when I'm older. The residents are lovingly cared for and well looked after. During my last visit, I couldn't detect any urine odor. On the contrary, it smelled remarkably fresh, not at all what I would expect in a senior care facility. The staff is always helpful and even takes on tasks that aren't part of their direct responsibilities. They lovingly care for a loved one until the end and also help the family members through this difficult time. I especially have to praise the kitchen, which even accommodates requests at short notice. It is possible to host birthday parties at the Park Residence. I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their loving care. Under their management, the facility is a beautiful place to live. I can only rate the Park Residence 5 stars. There are people who rate something without thinking about it and also have serious problems with the truthfulness of their statements!
